American actor Collin Wilcox Paxton (1935-2009) was a force of nature. A supremely talented actor who not only blazed the screen with her unforgettable performance as Mayella Ewell in To Kill A Mockingbird (1962) but who created a whole range of contrasting characters throughout a career that lasted forty years.
