Nonsense. NYC Transit has a small department (not MTA NYPD) that hands out fines to fare beaters only on a SELECT, few bus routes. On the other bus routes, fare evaders ride with impunity with the secure knowledge that the security team doesn't come on those routes.

I see you really like the South Bronx. At least you went as far as Bruckner Plaza, where K-Mart used to be. What about the northeast Bronx? the Botanical Gardens? The Zoo? Throgs Neck? Up there by Middletown Road? How about Riverdale and the Heights by the Hudson? There's a whole lotta Bronx to cover.
I use to live in the bronx with my grandparents in the 60s I hated it is dirty sidewalk is full of garbage it can never be clean walking to the nearest subway is the 2 or 5 train the Freeman Street station high crime too. NEVER CHANGE....
