Great information, it is so tempting to jump in and get animals and try for the large garden all at once. Fencing is the key for gardens and animals to work well. I did notice you didn't mention water. I have this on my must have list when I have looked for land. I have had people tell me how lucky I am having a small river on my property, it wasn't luck it was a non negotiable resource when buying. I like your style of presentation, I will keep exploring more of your videos.
They even have a pig tractor that they move around I have also heard if you put concrete underneath an animal's cage it will stink if you leave it raw ground it don't sting that's why I got nothing but dirt underneath my rabbit cages😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁
Another RU-vid channel that does this they add wood chips over top of the poop area where the pigs poop they also mix corn in amongst the wood chips so the pigs keep stirring it up but they go in there every day and put wood chips over top of the poop just like deep bed gardening But ive never heard of people putting logs in there and charcoal all they do is just keep adding wood chips
We give a large area for our pigs operation and we haven't had any smell problems. Thank you for sharing a way to do this in a smaller area. Someday that may come in handy for us.
Do the young growout need a pellet with a coccidiostat in it or is there another way, or do they even need tho prevention. I'm talking when the growout are on the grass in a rabbit tractor. 😊
You lost credibility when you said rabbits don't need much more than a hutch. Rabbits need lots of space and are very social animals. Treating them thia way is not humane.
Only thing I need to know now is.. do you heat the apples with water, or without and does it just produce the sap? You dont tell or show. Youbput the appels on the stove without water and get of with water.
I use structured water from k type ceramics. Can this be done with several 100% copper grounding rods instead? I have an opportunity to get 30 for $150. Instead of wrapping say a 8ft bamboo pole with copper wire or do i need both but using only 1 or 2 grounding rods? I have 12 gauge copper wire. I also bury old pennies (1982 or older bc they do have much more copper. Theres only a few from 1979-1982 most of mine were dated 1960s- late 1970's) i could never locate them all so how would that effect this.. i saw where it repels pests and bugs does that include beneficial insects. How does electroculture effect the beneficial microbes and fungi in the soil? Can this shock you? I don't mean a little static electricity. Do the metal cages put around plants work similar if tall? I know different plants different voltage but What is the basic reading i should look for to check if its working
~Thank you for making suggestions on how to fix this problem!~There are oodles of videos on how this is happening, but very few on what to do about it~
But if they perform better on pasture isnt that an advantage for lowering feed costs even if they don't grow as big or fast. Especially for homestead scenario.
Is it possible to over dehydrate the berries? Like if it only takes 12 hrs and you did 15 or more, does it dry out too much that you cant get any more out of it after rehydrating it?
Hello, I live where its cold and have poor clay rocky soil. I have tried to grow quinoa and amaranth and neither of them came up. I also grow sunflowers which can be used for flour. I will try the quinoa and amaranth again next year. Thank you for making this video
if its in a pot. twist counter clockwise from top connect to earth. clockwise from top to bottom for antenna,. just like the tree, it needs to have their roots on earth and the leaves are the antenna
If you are determined to avoid artificial spray look for ORGANIC HAY. Expect to pay a premium. The reason for spraying is that thistle are a serious pest and cause significant hay loss. Also the seed will happily germanate on YOUR place and give you a big weed problem. Note: thistles love high fertility ground and will out grow the grass quickly. The stand of thisles will be so thick that stock will go around not through them.
It amazes me that acts like spraying massive amounts of poison is not illegal. I feel the same way about invasive animals and plants being unregulated. Yet, all efforts are focused on banning firearms. Politicians are insane.
Thank Goodness for Fantail tips. Thankyou so much... you've helped us so many times. My chooks eat your cruciferous sprouts we've spread them everywhere and they pick away contented. There are not enough words so once again I'll just say Ta very much from the Manawatu!
@@FantailValleyHomestead It is interesting. I have 14 active eaters but they never destroy the plants. They leave enough for them to grow back.. as you know it is late winter and tucker is a bit spare but they don't eat them all up. There is new growth and I suppliment with a cup or 2 of layer pellets so they never feel starved. I love my chickens :) I feel like we have worked out a good feeding regime. We are getting closer to self sufficiency all the time. I need to butcher a teg soon. any thoughts or video on that would be great! :)
THAT IS SO WONDERFUL ! ! ! Congratulations ❤ I am going to write this information down inside the front cover in my gardening books . Good on you for working it out, so many need to repair their soil, its great to hear of an effective plan for action.
Oh wow, I hadn't thought about contanination surviving through to horse poo. I've been eyeing up bags of manure on the roads, at least now I can test before grabbing a shedload! THANKS
I feel you should explain a term like 'broadforking' because I have not heard or know of that (yes, I can look it up, but technical terms should be explained). UK TV gardening guru/god does recommend sharp sand so I shall add rotted horse manure and sharp sand as well.
We don't use horse manure here for fertilizer for gardens because you get more weeds from horse manure the only manure we use is your rabbit your chicken and cow cow come whenever and I don't use any hay in my nesting boxes or in my chicken coops I only use wood chips local pine wood chips
So good when you can supply your own manure! These herbicides can survive any animals gut, so be sure if you feed hay or grains you know where it is coming from.
Thanks for the run down on these tunnels in high winds! I diy'd my own tunnel and made my own wiggle wire with a modified off the shelf galvanised steel rondo batten as the channel, no chance of that moving, pretty rigid after bending into shape.
