Hello random RU-vidrs! I created this channel waaay back in 2008 when I was living the good life in San Diego and thought about doing some freelance video production work on the side so I went with SoCalFreelance for a channel name. This RU-vid channel has all kinds of original stuff on it from live concerts, hobbies, to local area events. Thanks for stopping by! 🤘
As you say, everyone stacks at their own pace. I decided to go all in on stacking for four years placing all tax refunds, overtime, bonuses, discretionary income, etc. into the purchasing of bullion. Regardless, with today's prices we both benefit, you even more so given billion prices 45 years ago. 👍
She was also in the band 30 years ago and the singers have always leaned young, sexy & naughty. Ruth was lovely back in her prime - but I'm not sure she could put on the same show with the same voice today, nor would people want to come out to see Grandmas of Acid. That said - the latest singer... meh. The one prior to her (Marieke Bresseleers) did well but seeing some live LoA from 2019 I sensed there wasn't great chemistry between her and Praga. Mea had good stage presence but her vocal range was a bit lacking (needed a backup singer to carry the higher notes). Deb - alright. Nikki - pretty much tied for first place with Ruth.
@@SoCalFreelance Great! Yeah I want to grab a shirt, last time around they didn't bring any Merch so I was curious. Thanks, yes, I know it will be great! Cheers!
@@SoCalFreelance I should have, didn't get home until almost 2am as I live just outside of the city but most of the transit had just finished up for the night unfort. Totally worth it though, you don't miss these guys when they come to your local city. Running off caffeine today!! ☕☕☕
Probably the first concert where I saw a mosh pit and people zenning out to the deep bass grooves at the same time. Definitely recommend checking them out live if they swing by your area 🤘
Exactly right. I've pretty much stopped stacking due to the high spot price and high premiums. Feel very fortunate to have stacked heavy in the years that I did. I'll do another full stack video next year which will be my 10-year full stack video.
Hi there! I am trying to find tailoring patterns for the cape. I have found conflicting information online. Some suggest there is a hood, while others suggest there is not. If you do by any chance see this, would you please be able to confirm if it has a hood? If not, can you comment on how it is constructed and perhaps please share some photos? Kind regards.
if your interested in selling anything, please reach out to me. im a new member of 300DC Spartans have my gear ready except for cape, spear, shield. iv been testing several fabrics for the cape to find something that fits/feels right. its tough putting it together with hardly no info online and zero sewing skills haha. im meeting with a costume maker this weekend for the cape, hopfully she doesnt charge no $500+ to make it already spend over $120 on monks cloth haha
Welcome to the Brotherhood.🤘 While I purchased the authentic screen used costume, I did make my own shield and spear which was an interesting challenge (still have to edit and post that video sometime). It all costs money one way or another, no getting around it. Hope to see you at Dragon Con sometime.
Way too much silver, in relation to way too little gold. The way I see it, when all is said and done, at whatever Gold-to-Silver ratio is current at any give time, your physical silver shouldn’t be more than 10-20% of your precious metals savings pool by dollar value. Gold should be the bedrock and mainstay of your physical precious metals holdings. It’s where the smart money is and where I am. Silver is just gold’s secondary, junior partner, held only for speculation. Gold should be your focus, so ignore the silver bugs, as they don’t understand history nor monetary metals. Silver stacking is a silly American obsession, an ignorant hangover of the 1933-1974 era when private gold ownership was effectively outlawed in the US. The more passionate a silver stacker is, the more you need to walk away from them. Silver is gold’s worthy junior partner and sidekick, but in the 2020s, its place is that of a small side holding purely for speculation. But I repeat: the bedrock of your precious metals pool, now and forever, should and must be gold. Learn this lesson now, and you’ll thank me later. PS: Before anyone goes down that route, platinum and rhodium have never been monetary metals, since their melting points are so high that working them into coins or bars is rather impractical and expensive, and makes it difficult to benefit from their theoretical fungibility. They are precious metals, but in no way are they monetary metals. PPS: If you even _think_ of “stacking” copper, you deserve nothing but ridicule. It’s a waste of time, money, and space. Don’t even start doing that. And if you’re already doing it, just stop.
I disagree. I believe there is a higher upside potential for silver than gold -- i.e. more opportunity to make money if you're in it for the long run because its price has been artificially suppressed. And I haven't purchased any gold or silver in the 2020's because I believe in buying low and selling high which is a wise strategy if you're in it for the long run. Most of the big name stackers you see on RU-vid came in after the big metals price crash in 2013/2014. I expect the same thing to happen after post-COVID / post-recession. I recently purchased 5oz of platinum. Why? Look at the charts. Again, buy low, sell high. I agree copper bullion doesn't make any sense, but copper is valuable in its utility because it has many uses from electrical wiring, electronics, plumbing, cooking pots, building material, etc.
