I do not like the story The Missing Coach and I do prefer the episodes based on the 2 stories after but in the TV series, STH sounds like a total unlikable idiot!
I really can't help this but I must ask, why did Edward leave when his passengers arrive and try to chase him to get on board his train? This explains my complaint about this.
The one thing I can really appreciate about this book is the fact Wilbert didn’t phone it in. He gave one last instance of world building before retiring.
I can never understand how a story centering on Duck and Donald was part of a book about Oliver. Then again, Oliver only had two major roles in just two stories and the other two were mostly about Duck.
I should point out in the Railway Series story You Can't Win, it's weird how Duke was pulling his train backwards and the way the train goes doesn't make sense as Falcon is also pulling the train backwards in front of Duke and Stuart also pushing the train in reverse from the other end. The TV episode makes better since of this in my eyes.
So if Bert doesn’t get to take photographs for the thinn clerdegy man and the fat clergy man if only of the replaced names the rev ‘awdry and the rev’teddy boston's
About percy taking trucks to the other railway this is a theory but the yard could be the yard of barrow and furness because all the trains run from tidmoth to barrow and there is a engine shed there and is still the fat controllers property so they could be there so thats why Henry says that because it could be barrow
This is one of those times that the book should be a total number of “2/4 stories adapted for TV” but ends up being “4/4 stories adapted into 3 episodes for TV” because of 1 episode being almost completed by the production team
My theory towards James arriving with the vans instead of coaches, in the TV episode of 'Better Late than Never', was to give Thomas some goods supplies for him to take down his branch line. But still it would have made more sense for him to arrive with coaches full of passengers. Also, did you notice in the episode that Henry didn't have coaches nor anything behind him at all, despite the fact he was supposed to be giving Thomas his passengers? That is really strange.
