Hello, my name is Jan Hammer. A child of the Basque community in Boise, Idaho I have spend much of my working life in television. Though I love music I am not the Jan Hammer of Miami Vice fame. I do admire his work however. A wannabe guitar picker I once told a friend "I want to learn to play in the worst possible way". He replied "you already do". I am now retired and live wife in Grand Junction, Colorado, USA. Editors note: Many, if not most, of the descriptions or the songs and/or artists heard here are taken from Wikipedia.

Joni Mitchell is one of the best songwriters ever. The main reason why she doesn’t get mentioned as much as men is simply because she’s not a man & her lyrics are so moving. Incredible.

Going with a non stop galloping rhythm that's heavier than the heaviest heavy metal.

“these days your face, in my memory…is in the frozen hands of grace against these times…” I don’t think I really understood those words until she became a beautiful memory

I've listened to Herb since I was a kid growing up in a late 80s but I never knew that he was behind this tune, bravo 👏🏼

Al gran Julio Iglesias es prácticamente imposible imitarle el timbre de voz, pedazo de artista, punto aparte es ese cautivante y melódico coro de voces.

Notice the tenor guitar is capo-ed up high, so it sounds like strumming a mandolin.

My late husband, rhodes reason, appeared in summer stock in the play. He was in his 20's. He thought that William Holden was too old for the part. I did not agree. Rhodes went on to Broadway to plsy Daddy Warbucks in Annie! William Holden was magnificent!

This was not about the Boer war ( which by the way your pronunciation is incorrect as well). It was about fighting in India. If you understood the poem you would see that’s mentioned. Additionally, as Kipling illustrated and stated , “ You’re a better Man than I am, Gunga Din!” He was no “ boy” as you say. Kipling deserves to be remembered correctly. You mommicked it up .

This is just classic...Beautifully sad - Ol' Frank. But. I did not taste my 'Puttanesca' - Along the way. That's a very rather sick joke...
