i was a little girl when this song came out. i remember falling in love with this song. its still my fav song. that i will look up on you tube today. thanks for sharing this info with us
I remember hearing it, when kid growing up in the 70s, always thought it was a great song. Very clever and pleasant, musical and vocal quality, like an abba song.
Thank you for this video. I just purchased a 2013 base with 180k miles on it. Knowing I'll get to at least 280k with low maintenance is heartening. Appreciate ya!
I love this song, I was born in 89 but I heard it on anchorman years ago and now it makes appearances on my playlists and it's a SOLID JAM 👏 EVERY 👏 time 👏
Dad was a guard there for several years. He would take me to work with him and I’d ride my dirt bike across the road up the mountain. Monroe was in a beautiful area. He would work 3 days on 4 off. I’d sleep in the guards barracks. Great times and the prisoners were always great. Met a few Hells Angels back in those days.
70's music & lyrics are some of the goat!! From, disco greats to the great sounds of Blue bayou sung by Linda Ronstadt to funk & reggae etc etc. I'll bet many of y'all like California dreaming, cupid, and reminiscing as well...soooo many great songs and truly talented sing/songwriters & dancer entertainers. You know the "whole packages". Unlike computer filtering and such today. Don't get me wrong, there are many very talented musicians, dancers & singers now too but there is just something about the nostalgia of lets say the pre 2000 era.
Not the OP, but was using this video today to do my first oil change on my new to me 2015 Tenere. I've used Rotella at one point or another on the dozen or so bikes I've owned. The T6 15-W40 seems to get good reviews on the Super Tenere forums by a few of the inmates over there that have high mileage bikes. It's also JASO MA/MA-2 rated- says so right on the bottle and you can google it and pull up the info on Shell's site - that nullifies the concerns a few other commenters have said about "it's not motorcycle oil". YMMV, but I've been happy with the variations of Rotella I've run in my past bikes- I used the white bottle /basic stuff in my KLR's and smaller singles with no issues - those bikes tend to break down oil a bit quicker, so changing with rotella is easier on the wallet - the KLR's ran better on that then the couple times I tried "motorcycle oil". My fuel injected bikes (and my concours) got a steady diet of T5 (rotella semi synthetic) or bel ray if they were at the dealer. T6 seems to get good reviews from a fair portion of other S10 owners, and it's reasonably inexpensive and easy to find, so that's what I'll run in mine. Plus you can buy the gallon "jug" and one of those gets you an oil change with less than a half a quart left over. 3.6 quarts appears to be the magic # for refill, changed on the side stand.
TRULY GREAT! This song, one of those songs that are highly recognized, but no one really knows the band or the album, but we DO know that hook! IMO Other songs in this class are Red Bone's "Come And Get Your Love" and King Harvest's 'Dancing in the Moonlight" and probably many more that are too many to mention! 💜
I had a ham radio friend who lived in Newberg, Oregon. His name was Tom. Tom was their keyboard player in the early days. He got brain cancer and after surgery, it returned and tool his life. I went to Tom's memorial service and remember a photo of the group on display.
I remember this song being played regularly on the radio in April 1974. I was a very young teen and remember her voice, soothing gentle and soft, I fantasized about her without even knowing her name or who she was or what she looked like because that was all it took, her music.
Sang Brandy Wednesday evening at Karaoke for the 1st time. Funny how those record contracts are written for new artists. They could have refused to sign it of course, but after sock-hops and being the Wednesday evening house band at the Holiday Inn, by the airport, I'm sure these groups would probably sign anything.
