Ima Survivor Sanctuary was created after the devastating floods from Hurricane Harvey and our farm now offers a forever home to other surviving farm-animals of the worst natural disaster in US history. We have opened our doors as a rescue and have become a home to abandoned, abused, and neglected farm animals. Both my parents had colon cancer so I have a Colonoscopy every 5 years. I feel that if Mom had had followup treatment (2006), & in 2010 after uterine cancer, that MAYBE she might not have gotten metastasized Ovarian cancer of duamde in 2015, which killed her, at age 88. Yes, she was elderly, but I wasn't ready to say Goodbye. Actually, I never got to say Goodbye. 2 weeks, from diagnosis to death. Oncologist said stage 2-3, & recommended chemotherapy to help reduce pain. Found out later Mom was acute stage 4.

Lester I am 60 and a woman.......I had colonoscapy years ago......No sedation of any kind back then......I thought I was gonna die that scope going through intestine was so painful I can't even explain it to you.......I cried tried to grab at dr.hands to remove scope .swore at him to remove scope .horrible experience. Never went back for another one.....just recently found out they sedate you now.....
I'm glad everything went okay, hoping for what the doc found to be benigne. I'm also glad that you have Jami, and that she has all this medical knowledge.
Kate Donald5661, l know how you feel, my son, my 80 year old mom, myself and my Jack Russell Terrier went through Hurricane Katrina. I have never in my life ever seen so much destruction., ln one day the Mississippi Gulf Coast was no longer recognizable. Beautiful old antebellum homes that had been here for years were gone. Ancient oak trees, some over 200 years old were uprooted laying on the ground waiting for someone to come along with a chainsaw to finally cut them up ending their lives. The wind from the storm was brutal but what really did so much more damage was when we were also hit with a 24 foot tidal wave. One of our gambling barges broke it's moorings and was washed across Hwy. 90 sitting on top of a 2 story home, another one also broke it's moorings and was sitting atop a dock and the rest that were here on the coast were completely destroyed. So many people decided to stay here on the coast and it was the biggest mistake of thier lives, the lived here and died here. Over 200 people lost their lives here on what use to be before the storm a wonderful place to live, with its southern charm. The coast looked as though it was a war zome. We, like so many others lost our home and everything we owned. My mom said what we lost could be replaced but what we had was our lives and that God was with us that terrible day. I am now 83 years old, soon to celebrate my 84th Birthday and l still live here on now our beautiful Mississippi Gulf Coast. So many people that are not from here or live here often ask me why l continue to stay, to be honest, l love this coast and the Gulf of Mexico, it penetrates your soul. My son still lives here on the coast, he met the love of his life, got married soon to be 5 years, he and my wonderful daughter-in-law are parrnts to twin sons. My mom passed away in 2009 at the age of 90. So you see l know what you are going through. Take one day at a time and have faith in the good Lord.....
If there's heat in Voo's feet (the top of his hooves) then you've got problems. He could use some Banamine at the very least. It looks to me to be both front feet. I'd also pull him off grain and alfalfa and feed coastal or Timothy hay. Maybe consult with Courtney. Dang it! I hate it when the horses aren't feeling well! 🤦 ☹️

Thanks for the advice on the drink of putting it over ice, I have to have my second colonoscopy on the 28th and I remember how gross that drink is, the only thing different is I have a special diet for the week before.
I'm supposed to schedule my second one. It's the prep that's the terrible part...and for me the fact that you aren't actually out during but just have drug induced amnesia about the whole thing. The Diddy party bit was pretty funny sense who knows what all they do while you are unable to move because a the other part of the sleepy stuff they give you, and you have no memory of it either. Yeah I really don't want to do another one.
I have had one done. They're not really fun! But having it done is the best way to health prevention and is the best for you!! Drinking that prep crap is totally rotten & totally whoreable!!! But worth it!!!!

There's just 1 thing I hate to burst your bubble. The part you said, Be back in 10 years. When I had my 1st colonoscopy, I too thought I didn't have to come in 10 yrs. Instead, my Dr. told me to come back in 3 yrs. I was disappointed, but they did explain it to me why that is. After my 2nd colonoscopy, they told me to come back in 5 or 7 yrs. I can't remember which one it was, but now I will have 3rd colonoscopy by next year. I will be turning 60 by then. Even though it's next year, not looking forward to it, but I will do it. I rather be safe than sorry. Have a very blessed day!
