I suggest you take this issue up at a future school board meeting. I guarantee you are not the only parent who feels like this. Parent Connect should be a way for teachers to contact parents with concerns and for school emergencies…it’s not for PTA type bullshit.
Most moms want to be left alone when in labor. They don’t want an audience. I would definitely complain to the principal about this. They need to use this ONLY for emergencies. Get source for PTO stuff.

Ask the school to stop spamming the Parent Connect with unnecessary messages. You can bring up the missed time sensitive message, because of the barrage of messages making you ignore it entirely. As for Jezebel and the lives, you wanted to share an exciting part of your life. New babies are always exciting. The lives are enjoyable as you take care to be entertaining as well as informative.

School districts/Businesses/Towns/Counties need to supply followers with the Choice : All Info OR Emergency Alert options! Their spam always makes you miss what is TOP PRIORITY!!! Shame on them for for not spending another 5 minutes to categorize the message!!! The deaths in Hawaia fires could have been reduced if ABSOLUTE TRUTHFUL info had been sent out to all. How many times has the system that is supposed to protect us failed during floods, hurricanes, tornados, etc? Take off the blinders! They are either trying to kill us off or enslave us. They are controlling the weather now. It's no longer GOD & Mother Nature.
Lester, A lot of times these annoying notification apps will have a place on the app where you can choose what kind of notifications you want from them. You want only notifications of emergencies at the school, not all the useless ‘come join us’ notifications.
Poor cow wants to be alone. We had parent connection years ago. Worked better when in the lower grades the principal called me and later his guidance counselor. So great in grade school. Your son is crowing in the library window. That God his sister was his opposite.

Regarding Parent Connect, talk to the Principal about the messages and ask if they can please eliminate nonessential messages to parents who may be too busy to open trivial information. That’s very intrusive. I would be irritated if I were you, too. I would definitely let someone in the office know.

Perhaps you can have a word with the School to say you are very busy working. That you only want to be advised of things that could be urgent and that could directly affect your son.
