I fly a lot - mostly for work and often with a camera in hand. So here you'll find a range of flight reviews - mainly business class but also first class if I can manage a points upgrade or get a really good deal.
To me a good airline - especially in business - should have: friendly engaging staff who understand the needs to business travelers, comfortable seats, lie flat beds, a good selection of meals and a nice single malt whiskey on the wine list. The seats, like hotel rooms, should be practical when it comes to controls, storage and work space.
You'll also find a selection of other random travel experiences as I explore and experience this wonderful planet.

Definitely the best business class out there, the product overall is well designed. Food and drinks selection are great! My favourite is the blanket, so comfy!
Nice one, Dennis I really enjoyed watching this vid and yes, Q-Suite looks superb: it IS business class after all and is in a different league. I would happily choose it - even over Emirates’ BC - which is about to re-boot in Adelaide (also my hometown) later in the year in November - and which I sampled from Paris to Dubai in 2022. B u t I have my own personal reservations about Qatar Airways based on a few flights with the airline out of Adelaide (usually heading to/from Greece) and sadly for me and my wife in tourist class … (yea I know, apples and pears). The greater majority of us using Qatar travel the T(ourist)-Suite way. I have sadly always found Qatar to be pretty lacking in the T-Suite environment: why? S L O W dinner service - it took the flight service personnel (air hosts in plain English) up to ten minutes to serve three seats and by the time s/he got to us our food choices were typically limited. Not good. This has happened over the last three flight I have taken with them from/to Adelaide. [Reviews on Tripadvisor]. The in-flight staff in general struck me as being raw and inexperienced - not in touch with their passengers - just folk employed to carry out a specific task yet not provide that bit extra like bring me an extra bottlette of wine after my meal … The small things that can matter to us in T-Suite. I was noticeably unimpressed when our incoming flights from Adelaide were given the unimpressive honour of disembarking in the freight section of Doha Airport followed by a good ten-minute run by bus to the main building - with traffic lights to cross on the way … Do we South Australian incomers not deserve an airbridge??? We shall travel again with Qatar to Athens in ten days’ time and I am not looking forward to it unless Qatar has - in the time since 2019 - lifted its T-Suite game. I do wish the company would get its act together and offer Premium Economy - is it so hard? I would choose this option in a flash. But I suspect no, we will have more of the same as in 2019 and before. Thank you for your views on life in the aerial fast lane Dennis, but it means little to us slowed-down in the T-Lane suckers. Another great review Dennis, I can relate to your travels and reviews. I would also like to commend you on providing clear information on the food and especially the wine. In so many instances I am looking at other reviewers reports only for them to overlook showing the wine list or just skipping over it briefly. How tall are you? Im.only 5 foot 10 but I often have the issue where my knees are jammed into the seat in front of me and it's now causing me knee problems 😭
Oh no, Newark. It’s literally the worst airport I’ve ever flew from. It’s dirty, badly designed, the sky train is a mess, and the bathrooms are literally filthy. Avoid at all cost. American airports are bad anyway but this one takes the cake. Also when transferring you have to pay the 47$ homeland security fee since you can’t change gates without leaving the international area. I can’t stretch this enough, (especially for Europeans) AVOID THIS AIRPORT

13:54 Respectfully, I disagree. Any airline that puts their long haul 777s in a 3-4-3 config and doesn’t bother updating their A330s doesn’t deserve the title of “World’s Best Airline”. However that doesn’t mean Qatar Airways is the worst, they are a very good airline in my opinion.

We flew from Aukland to Doha and on to London last December. Amazing experience. Interestingly, the plane did not stop in Adelaide on the way although initially it was supposed to. It became Qatar's longest flight. Any ideas why it only sometimes goes via Adelaide? Next year we get to fly from SFO to DOH on to DEL. Can't wait.
The linking of Adelaide and Auckland was only temporary whilst Qatar was waiting for more aircraft and crew to come back online. As soon as they had the aircraft the Auckland Doha service returned to being a stand alone service like it was pre-covid. It was great while it lasted though with brilliant service between Adelaide and Auckland.
Great video, Dennis. I recently had the oposite issue with my qsuite door gliding too easily. It wouldn't remain closed when the plane was ascending. The garden lounge is exceptional and I especially appreciated the attentive table service by the staff.
So the rumour going around the all airline blankets are dirty isn't true. I never believed them. I take SIA all the time and their blankets are impeccable and fresh all the time. Thanks for posting this vlog.
Flew Qatar a few times in economy and got bumped up to business class out of the blue. I can NEVER go back to economy again. They spoiled me. Truly the top of the tier in international flight. From aircraft, crew and lounges it doesnt get better.
Flew QR To CDG via DOH ex AKL the. CDG to AKL via DOH last year.. absolutely fantastic service and flight. Still have my PJs hahaha they super comfy. Crew were super professional and always on hand when u needed them.
My wife and I travelled to Edinburgh from Auckland, NZ, last September on Qatar, cattle class. The first seventeen and a half hour leg was, a trip best forgotten. The Airbus A350 we travelled in was, shall we say, well past its use by date! I had almost zero knee room so I was forced to either, sit with splayed legs or sit slightly sideways. The squab in my seat was collapsed so the centre stuck up with little support on the sides. Talk about discomfort! My seat wouldn’t recline so when the person in front of me reclined theirs, i was stuck with a gap of about ten inches between my screen and my face so was forced to not watch anything! My wife’s seat reclined ok but when trying to put the seat upright, before landing, it wouldn’t! Crew tried to rectify it but couldn’t and then four or five others in the same section as ours struck the same problem. The crew were a bit pissed and it showed. Not their fault! Food was mediocre, not that that really mattered! Fly with Qatar again? Not unless hell freezes over!!! Return flight flew with British Airways, Heathrow to Houston. On a Dreamliner I think it was. Excellent! Air New Zealand from Houston to Auckland, again on a Dreamliner. Economy Skycouch, it was great having the extra space! Another great flight!
I have never flown on Qatar before and I'm sure they have a solid product. However, I paused the video when you showed the seat controls and I did not see a La-Z-Boy type leg rest which can be deployed. That is, imo, a massive oversight. Having such a feature is super important to me when I choose an airline to fly with. And that's why I watch flight reviews.

Really nice done. AM Garden is not really new in that sense, but its a great lounge. The only, in my opinion downside with QR lounges is that alcohol is far away, that goes for all QR lounges in DOH. Using one of these far away seatings and I'd have to walk a great distance to just get another beer or refill my glass of wine. Even at Emirates lounges I can grab a beer in the closest frige. I also miss qsuite here in Scandinavia its 789s with the "fake" qsuite and they are so uncomfortable

Hands down the best 'looking lounge!' much better than the one we visited in Doha flying Qatar And the best cabin manager we have every had ( short of our QF1 First experience ) was on our Qatar 777 flight DOH to AMS
Recently took this exact route (loved Adelaide too btw!) and something that really stood out to me was just how incredibly attentive and friendly all the Qatar on board staff are. Something I noticed after my first leg LHR-DOH was the crew having a debriefing in the galley, noting any feedback from guests, asking if there was anything they could have done better and so on. Really goes to show how much they have instilled that culture of service and excellence in their crews and it really shows.
Well Denis, you have let the cat out of the bag about the Garden Lounge ! We flew through on our way home form the Uk from Adelaide and made an effort to find the garden. It was as good as you show and the non dining end was almost empty. SO, so relaxing and better than the main lounge. I think I prefer it to the Al Safwa. Qsuite to and from Adelaide is one of life's real pleasures, as Adelaide is such a great airport; always friendly and efficient, and usually ina taxi within about 35 minutes of landing. Bravo Adelaide.

"Best biz class, best biz lounge, best best whatever." Dennis Bunnik, have you no soul or conscience? 1. Why do the 445th Q-Suite review? (Envious of non-stop Dan and his drooling over Q-Suite?). 2. Qatar is absolutely an abomination in ranking of freedom, LGBT rights, exploitation of foreign (slave-like) workers, women's rights to name a few. I am just so annoyed at another Q-Suite review. I will never fly on any Gulf Carrier. Your luxury (of the 1%) was built and paid for on the backs of the exploited. Even ONE negative comment? Yes, it's bias or a paid promotion.

Missed a connection in Doha. Spent 6 hours over night in the garden lounge. My personal favourite any where in the world now. Qatar on board service is wonderful. Been lucky to have the q suite and the real old 2-2-2 and every product in between. But service is just so good regardless.
I was there on Saturday. Flew the Qsuites from Bangkok to Doha. Amazing experience. Great food. As a whisky review channel I was a bit disappointed with their whisky selection.
