Good video but, Bonham did not play his bass drum like that- heel up squashing the beater into the head. Bonham played heel up but allowed the beater to rebound off the drum head causing a fuller sounding hit.
Wish l had these vids back in day when l was learning to play drums. Even applying rudiments to kit was a challenge. Thanks for making it all come together.
hey man, just discovered your channel. i like it, and following from Barcelona. really well explained, i like specially how you divide the parts. really useful, many many thanks
Let it go dude..this guy is great,,but we all know Bonham triplets are l r kick but who gives a shit..you rock and thank you for making these short with sheet music as well,,,
Even better, play the triplet part on the bass repeatedly while continuing the hi-hat groove, and the snare on two and four... very slowly for 20 minutes a day. After a month, you'll be playing When the Levee Breaks at tempo.
Dude, I started playing drums one year ago, thinking: „There is stuff out there that you won’t be able to play no matter how hard you try!“ Well, I am beyond my fourties, and all the sudden, you made me play Tool! You rock!
