Switch will launch with a 3d mario might be open world but i dont really think open world will work with mario so if we got a super mario galaxy 3 with odyssey controls would be my dream
I just got ordered a 3ds from eBay in pretty perfect condition by the looks of things, HShop already installed for £60 including shipping. I've been wanting to play some old nintendo classics for a while but man am i excited for the possibilities the emulation will unlock for me
Sounds interesting, but suspicious too. This is why I ordered my Steam Deck today. The Steam Enginge also uses Manjaro Linux as a base as I do on my computers and tablets. So I'd like to get my hands on this device, but atctually it is nowhere availabe - I could not find it in China either. So I don't really know if it will ever get released.
Bruh this isn’t budget to mid budget this is high end emulation if you aren’t comparing it to the anbernic ,powkiddy or retroid devices don’t make people feel this is the price they need to be paying for these high end things these are all investment devices for most of us
And I own several devices including this one so I know the difference. Not complaining that it shouldn’t cost this much cause this device is very much worth every cent you pay 😅
I remember when the switch launched, and the only game worth getting was breath of the wild. It really did carry the switch for a long time. I think I downloaded some snake game quite early on too because there wasn’t anything else. But once the switch started getting some traction, it was just a constant supply of really good games for its life.
I always wanted to get a pc handheld I built a new rig during the 40 super series. And my ps5 is on the bedroom tv where my fiancé always watches tv. Wanted something I can lay it bed just play my 10 year steam library. Was thinking the portal for a while but ended up wanting more. I ended up ordering my first handheld two nights ago. 512 gig steam oled, got a screen protector and a 1TB sd card waiting for it whenever it comes in. Was going to get into roms with it my fiancé has tons of modded retro consoles for our game room with her whole childhood of games. So I have major plans with my deck besides my library, to also turn it into my emulation device.
I’m so late. Just got a modded Switch OLED. Now the Switch 2 is around the corner still love it so far tho😊can finally play Crystal on my Switch. Switch 2 is going to be amazing my friend 😊
Give us a more refined version of what 1-2 switch tried to be, if it’s going to be another switch sports game, you need to give the game a lot more replay ability
I don’t mind SteamOS, I use Windows 11. Thing for me is the damn Easy Anti-Cheat Bullshit. Other than that if I can’t run it on the Deck, that’s what my cMP 5;1 is for.
45 average and 30 to 25 what absolute chaos was happening runs better than savathun's throne world imo i havent done many raids on steam deck but i have done kings fall and crota they run good 50 to 55 during platforming sections and 50 to 40 in boss rooms. to me it runs and look better than the does xbox and ps4 versions of these games just make sure u allocate 4gigs of ram to the gpu

My device still basically has the same battery life windows battery management isn’t the best so even if I was playing like a super light title I’m still only getting like two hours out of it, but whenever I switch to Steam os I tend to get 2 to 4 hours, depending on what I’m playing for windows I tend to get 2 to 3 hours depending on what I am playing

Is a very decent handheld not gonna lie but normally windows games runs better on windows itself (in terms of compatibility ) I know that almost all steam deck users are willing to thinker this and that and add plug ins at left and right , so i will say: do that with windows 11!! , thinker that os a little , install emudeck or playnite for windows and enjoy all your library without having to worry about annoying updates breaking your game lol
A bought a msi claw at 450 dollars because it was on sale and in comparison the 512 gb steam deck oled is at 530 dollars , but!!! A few guys on reddit bought the msi claw at 388 dollars !!! In short with sales any console can be under 400 xdd (and they got on sale like a lot lol)
Just received my 512 LCD steam deck yesterday. Got it on sale for $335. It felt like I couldn't say no. Took me five hours to get it to simply turn on and download its updates. Had problems linking to my Steam account, and more troubles downloading my first game to it from my library. It's definitely not a "out of the box" device. You'll be tinkering and troubleshooting from the first moment. Still, I wanted to dip my toes into pc gaming and everything it opens up to you, so I kinda knew what I was getting into. Can't really complain for the price. It's a new hobby and pastime that comes with a lot of ongoing learning, but it's what I wanted to try. I'll probably have to spend another $100-200 on other peripherals and things to really use it. It's going to get docked and displayed on my TV. Gotta have a keyboard and mouse for it.
@@arkellhenry if you’re running windows on your steam deck, make sure you install the correct Wi-Fi Bluetooth drivers if you’re still running steam os and you’re having that issue I would try doing a update check the firmware. If none of that seems to work. You might have to send it in to valve to get it fixed. But also run some test. Eliminate the possibility that it’s your Wi-Fi causing issue not necessarily steam deck so I would take the same to other peoples Wi-Fi to see if maybe that’s the issue.
I've had my Steam Deck for a year and honestly nothing has changed. I still love it now for its versatility and performance. It plays everything I want to play and then some. I've really had no complaints on it. It is easily one of the best gaming devices I've ever owned.
As some RU-vidr has said, the steam deck is like a Honda civic. Not the fastest, not the fanciest, but definitely the most reliable, despite all its cons or so to say, flaws
Devs now a days are just money grabbers, they known people are dumb and they can force them to buy new hardware twice a year now. So people are the ones that make them do this and they still release horrible performing games.
The two things that have most revolutionized the handheld pc gaming industry is lossless scaling & increased RAM support. You likely won’t want to go backwards if you acquire these things & steam deck doesn’t utilize either of them. So yeah you’re basically kneecapped in 2024. It’s the pc equivalent of a Nintendo switch. What the switch is today compared to other home consoles today, is exactly what the steam deck is today compared to other handheld pc gaming devices today that run windows
AMD is also doing some powerful stuff with modern frame generation although it’s janky to get that stuff installed but if you want to go through the process you’ll end up with types of performances the steam deck couldn’t imagine. Lossless Scaling however, is basically plug & play, no required workarounds, & also generates performance levels that leave the Deck in the dust.
saying the steamdeck is like the switch is a bit of a reach. One can run modern day AAA games pretty OK, the other can barely run already optimised first party games.

If you have a 7,000 8,000 series or Z1 windows pc you can run brand new AAA games at 1080p & get 120 fps or 144 fps or greater while if you own a steam deck you might be running that game low settings 720p 30-40 fps. The gap between these two extremes of very wide. You probably won’t even have to run that AAA game at low settings to get 120 fps. You might get 120 fps 1080p medium. If you have 32 gigs of RAM you can run Returnal at 100 fps with ray tracing on medium using windows & lossless scaling on a 7,000 series chip handheld device.

Definitely Steam Deck is one of the best PC handheld even if it's underpowered compared it's competitiors here's my reason why. Yes you can get Lenovo Legion Go with 2K screen resolution and bigger battery capacity but it's heavier uncomfortable to hold for long period of gaming. And That 2K resolution will drain the battery life very fast, so not recommended for gaming for long periods of time you can always set the display to 1080p and still get decent amount of battery life but the 1080p resolution will zap the battery life fast also. Next Rog Ally X crappy windows pc handheld with inferior battery life average build quality nothing new. *Rog Ally X* you'll get 80WHR battery capacity with a 1080p screen resolution 24gb ram and 1TB ssd this device is amazing you can run any modern AAA games it'll run them. At full speed and get great battery life due to how big the battery capacity it is. The screen. Is beautiful 1080p resolution, bigger ram and bigger storage capacity to run games smoothly and better. Now despite the fact Steam Deck is underpowered I still think believe that Steam Deck is worth getting is because it can run modern AAA games at 30FPS. It has much better screen quality the OLED display is simply gorgeous to look at in person it makes the game vibrant and colors pop and boosts the saturation and makes HDR look even better. And despite not having VRR the 90hz refresh rate still makes most older AAA games that runs on 90hz refresh rate buttery smooth. And the 50WHR despite moderate sized battery it still gives you longer hours of gaming especially if you set the TDP draw power to 10W it'll easily give you 4-5 hours of gaming if you play older AAA games and 2-3 hours of newer AA games and if you play indie games the battery life will be even longer. And top of all this Vlave releases updates for Steam Deck every week with patches and updates to fix the issues with software or gaming related issues and compatibility. While other companies do offer updates and patches fixes they do it late and don't seem interested in supporting their consumers where valve listens to Steam Deck owners and listens to community feedback and will actually try to implement them in terms of. Making updates and patches for Steam Deck. So in my opinion Steam Deck OLED still definitely holds upto its competition despite being underpowered AF!
