Dear, Nathan. My stepfather has been in the hospital for the last week. I've been sitting in my garage listening to Hum because I feel their music in my heart so deeply in my heart. I'm a long time fan of HUM. I was sent "You'd Prefer An Astronaut" as part of a "CD Club", I'll not mention the name of; but somehow I felt so strongly moved. Was it by the grace of God? I don't know. But more importantly, I don't care. I feel by the grace of God Almighty; because the feeling I had when I heard their music for the first time was indescribable to me. Other people may listen to it and never understand what's actually being said, or portrayed. I don't know what to call the experience I had, other than Devine Intervention. You guy's kick ass and I feel so blessed to have ran across your video tonight as I was balling my eyes out listening to "Suicide Machine". That one hits me straight in the heart.
wow Chad thanx for sharing your experience and thankful you came by my video to enjoy. Comments like this is Why I make anything really, eheh. I went through about 3 copies+ of YPAA CDs due to taking it everywhere, giving away, etc.. I was at their YPAA tour in '96 , got to talk to Tim afterwards.. pretty cool.
And the king of snares is: The Ludwig Super sensitive! No strings or straps on the strainer, metal tabs on the ends that lock into notches. Drop the throw as much as you want and you will be brought right back to the sound you dialed in using the knurled tension knobs on the sides. It sold for $500.00 new when it first came out and sells new for that today. 👍👏😉😁
I have been trying to find the time to record a cover of Inlet since it cam out!..lol, life has been strange, I hope to soon, subscribe or watch for it, I hope to do so soon.
They probably swapped the main DSP board. I had a similar issue with the 16ch 16.4.2. I had another defective unit on hand with a dead Power supply and I stole the DSP board from that and the noise issues went away on the good one.
It was in beta and I was a real pusher on the discord slack group for it as a user and beta tester. I agree, it should have been more implemented, but they seemed to not see much value in it and put it to the side.
I really appreciate the video, but my inspector has "patch library," "attributes," and "tuning," without having "layer editor." Where can I find the layer editor if it's not just there? Also, my inspector wasn't showing at first, and that was pretty hidden, how to bring it up. It seems the case more often than not that my computer won't look like the computer in any "here's how to do this thing in a DAW quick and easy" video.
make sure you have a software instrument ch selected and not an audio or metronome channel by mistake. To make sure, click the + button top right, choose software instrument, and take not what input it is set to when creating (usually default in mainstage is Keyboard 1) give it an instrument synth, then push plus button again and make another instrument with the Same input keyboard.. now when selecting the channel of any synth that share that "keyboard 1" input, the layer editor is shown in the middle.
Had it since I was little kid, inherited it from my dad, he got it the year it came out. If I understand the serial numbers correctly, it is the 19th one ever made. It is an amazing expressive synth.
