Ouch - I was with you until you started sharing about the non-animal skin drumhead. I’m old, and old-school and believe that the animal skin, the tree, the materials that build the drum, come from the circle of life that bring us all together. However, my beliefs are old school, believing that all things come to an end and develop something new. You are the “new” . You believe in not harming animals to make a drum or maybe, I’m not sure, not cutting down trees to make a drum. Philosophically we’re in different places- but rhythmically we can still coexist and see what the world will hold. ✌🏾💕🙏🏾
I listened to your presentation on Horizon Flute school recently. So I decided to look you up on RU-vid. You made a profound impression I so enjoyed. Going over nature in this RU-vid the river, the mountains and the trees. I am going to try to practice in some of the areas around my home. Thank you!🙏
I LOVE THIS SO MUCH! I spent an hour trying to play and sing this. I gave myself plenty of Metta, and I sent out plenty as well. Thank you Christine. This will become a treasured part of my practice. <3
Well. Now I gotta get me a darbuka! I've been practicing the Maqsoum family -- Baladi, Saidi, Maqsoum. Now I'm totally hot for Ayube, Malfouf, Masmoudi, Karsilama! So fun!!!
I’ve been on a “sacred pause” for almost a year now from Facebook and Instagram. No social media except RU-vid :) It is so good to still be here. I have been walking gently through this earth - too much division and hatred is showing. To hear you again Christine and meet other kindred spirits like you is uplifting! I am waiting to buy a couple of Kotamos as I like to have a variety of tones to share and love to play with others. Love you Christine and what you bring to all
