Could you please add the ability to power off the scooter from the app? I was caught in a brief rain shower on my Apollo Go and all of the buttons malfunctioned, preventing me from turning it off for 12 hours (including the lights and a loud whining sound). I was disappointed by how susceptible the scooter is to rain.
I would like the app to let the phone shut down / sleep / lock when the scooter is disconnected. The other day I forgot to take my phone off the scooter when I got to the gym (stupid, I know). When I came out, the phone battery was nearly depleated and the phone was unlocked because the Apollo app kept the screen turned on and the phone open even though the scooter had been disconnected long ago (it properly went to sleep after 15 minutes of idle time). When the Apollo app keeps the phone unlocked, it is much easier for someone to take over my phone and steal it, but if it remains locked, the phone is much harder for them to repurpose.
I would like to have an option to have the turn signals come through the audio of the phone. I ride with air pods attached (in transparency mode) and it is hard to hear the scooter indicating that the turn signals are on through my helmet and air pods. If the app would do a turn signal indicator, that would be great. I would like the app to have a separate volume control for this so that it doesn't vary with the volume of the phone. I don't want to be blasted when the signals are on, but I would like to have a gentle turn signal sound always plays consistently.
I would like to see the new row of buttons moved to the top of the screen. I don't need that top row of information to be in such a prominent location on the screen, that information can swap positions with the row of buttons. This would allow me to glance down to see if the proper lights are on. I would also like to see the gear icon actually represent the gear by using the first letter of the gear inside the icon where the S is. That way, if the row of icons is at the top of the screen, I can quickly glance down to verify which gear I am in. I should say that I am wearing a full face helmet and I have a Max iPhone, so the bottom of the screen is really hard to look at, I have to tilt my head way down to see the botttom of the screen, that's why I think this information should be at the top of the screen.
Please stop having the max speed revert back to 65 km/h every other day. When LUDO is active, the max speed should be unrestricted, not governed to 65 km/h. It's so annoying to continually need to go into the advanced settings to bump the speed to 80 km/h in order to unlock it's actual top speed then have it only save for a day or two before reverting back to 65 km/h. I brought this issue up in the live stream before and it still isn't fixed.
Battery management/diagnostics. There should be a display that shows individual cell voltages on the battery pack. This would just better help some troubleshoot if a power related issue is being caused by the battery or not. A warning displaying if cells are largely out of balance or if cells become overcharged by regenerative braking you could visually see which cells took damage. Similar to how the new display shows the amount of power being delivered to the motors you could have a display showing how many amps of current are being consumed by the battery while charging and discharging. This way you see the power your motors are using vs the power your battery is putting out. You could have tolerances in your app that monitor these power levels and warn you ahead of time if your drawing too much current or if your pushing too much into the motors potentially preventing you from overheating or burning up a controller/motor.
Worst electric scooters. They use shady business practices like the “sales” which never ends even after the timer also they use crapy stuff from china to make them
Hi just bought my scooter a week ago and I think if would be great if there was a battery charge limited instead of having to change the battery to full everytime.
Great update and thanks for making the video telling us about it. Is it possible to add navigation to the app? I usually use google maps and run Apollo app in the background.
The maps don't show the direction properly on a pixel 8, so it's virtually impossible to use. The map search doesn't search nearby, and can easily get hundreds of miles away
Can we see a emergency signal lights feature/button added to the app? So both turn signal lights are flashing lights if someone has an emergency. Thanks!
App version: 3.12.1737, Apple iOS Bug (possible): Battery and Advanced Settings do not engage/activate. The Blue Arrow is highlighted, but does not accept the Input. Enjoying my scooter 👍🛴
Great updates! Another feature that would be really cool to see is being able to put a charge limit to the battery. For example being able to put an 80%, 90% limit on the battery so it doesn't charge over that in order to preserve the battery longevity!
. Nice improvement on the apps. However, the tire for the apollo City is out of stock for now 4 months . We have no indication of when it will arrive. I'm still waiting while summer is almost over . Apollo team any update on that issue .
there's a big bug with the app. and it's that when you are selecting the apollo ghost serial number prefix it either doesn't let u click that option and when u do manage to click on it or when it does work the app crashes. my v3 ghost in the app shows as a phantom because of the issue
Hi Eloi! Thanks for the updates; I've been using it for a few days now and it certainly seems to work. I have 1 minor bug that it would be cool to fix: If you do a trip, finish it, turn off the scooter, walk away and then return WITHOUT restarting the app, it will fail to connect via bluetooth. Restarting the app fixes it. But it's a minor annoyance. Cheers!
Such a shit video. I’ve paused every like 30 seconds and followed it in real time. You’ve skipped the washers without a tab on the suspension, skipped the cable management for the rear motor, and then the rear wheel motor is just magically disconnected from its cable while you work on it on the scooter deck - this isn’t real or possible with out extra steps. You’ve done nothing here except show people how replace a disc on a mountain bike, and skipped over anything that an idiot wouldn’t be able to figure out.
Not to mention, the one part of the video that isn’t telling us to just undo and tighten the only bolts already ape-level obvious, is after the disc is mounted… at which point the direction is….. “we’re going to just take out the 5mm allen key and loosen this up so it’s perfect.” Wtf does that mean? No camera angle? No explanation, and 5 second mention of the only part of the video that matters? The disc brake alignment is the only part that’s actually mechanical. Loosening the bolt you show on the caliper only adjusts the outside brake pad, it will not align a disc that’s a mm off to the wheel side. For a company that sends 90% of their $2000 phantom scooters with warped brake discs, and then sends the customer this video to fix it …. Pathetic. Wish I had spent the time to research Reddit before pulling the trigger. Whole thing creaks, I had to true my own warped brakes, then $100 spent on new discs, trash instructional videos in response instead of refunds or returns. Bought a “v4”phantom, it says “v3” all over it, gaslit into believing it’s actually a “v4”, then a “v4x” is announced? WTF is up with you guys? Do better. This whole company is like Apple branding with alibaba parts/support.
I wish there was an option to complete turn off the electronic horn. There’s been multiple times where I accidentally press the button and it’s kinda cringe.
Great Scooter, Solid quality and more importantly amazing support that responds and you can even schedule a video call with a technician regarding an issue with the scooter. ( I had to get on a 10 minute call to show my issue). Feels good knowing they stand behind their product.
Amazon sells valve (Schrader type) extensions (19-27mm) for $4-7. Use them only to fill your tires because they will stick-out if you leave them on the tire.
Incremental changes to tested and tried designs are a great approach for introducing new models. I have two Apollo scooters (Air and City) and enjoy using them because of the reliability and improvements made over time 👍
