This independency day I am grateful for the first amendment for the protections it gives over books. Without the first amendment we would not be able to enjoy many important books.
I don’t think we read the whole thing in school. I’m 42 now and still don’t completely understand the book. There are some simple themes that I understand, but not all. I recently tried to read it again, and found myself having to go over certain passages several times. Also, when I read, sometimes I can develop a completely different understanding of a book than what I was supposed to get out of it. It can be like a foreign language. So, I can learn or not learn something’s based on my own interpretation of a book. I really wanted to like this book, and I liked certain aspects, but not others. Maybe someday it will click.
You failed to see the point. Anyone that entered that was taken away was never seen again. They broke him in almost every single way except for his thought. Julia was part of big brother. He disnt get out. He knew after confussing his love for big brother he was going to be killed. His last final thought was seeing julia again. Scars on her face from the rats and thinking it was true love. She wasnt part of the part. After that thought is when they killed him in that room. The whole point was to convert the love of big brother in witch they think they did but in the end he still had his freedom of thought.
George can take Lennie to run away from the ranch, how can George shoot Lennie as a friend? George and Lennie have the same fate, they are different from the others, why George kill his only buddy
The story is very unrealistic, the kids are so young and yet they easily hunt and decapitate a pig,to be able to cut through bone with that knive.the kids are also very rash and handle the idea of killing too well for kids.the writer of this book is trying to make kids look to savage
As a person who has read the book; this is INCREDIBLY accurate. Not a singular detail missed! Think one of my favorite missed parts of the story was where Aunt Polly was counting screws and Huck kept taking and replacing spoons.
5:29 there is no inconsistency I remember reading that he rested for 2 years before heading to Geneva ,,,, correct your facts bro … what if someone trust you and fail in exam ,,, also victor did not looose everybody ,, earnest his younger brother is alive
I like the part where the cannibals say that the crew should go and kidnap one of the tribesmen and hand him over.. so that the cannibals can eat him… so obviously they think… uhh… no let’s not do that… but then they think…. Well actually… they do look kinda hungry 😐…….. and it all dawns on everyone at once that.. if you don’t come up with some other guy that these cannibals can eat… then they will probably eat you… 📖😬
The “beast” that jack wants to hunt and everyone, other than Ralph, is afraid of is to represent the savagery that lives within each human; thats what was the original intent of the author anyway
