I don’t pretend that Rolex is the end all be all, nor invented everything, and quite frankly I feel it is very overhyped and has been since the 80s. All I was doing was talking about two 904l steel watches in roughly the same size, with an orange GMT hand, with a black dial and date magnifier.
The ceramic bezel is what really sets this off. I’d love to see this as a normal release with maybe a red dial and black ceramic bezel. Kinda like a reverse black bay burgundy colorway.
I have one with the SS bezel for almost a year now. The numerals on the SS bezel are also lumed, though only half (6-18) would be somewhat visible in low light conditions, unless you charge the lume ahead of time. The tritium tube at the tip of the GMT hand is also difficult to locate in complete darkness as it is tiny. The somewhat rounded mid-case reminds me of the 6-digit Rolex Yacht-master. So you could say the watch is kind of a combo of EXPII & Yacht-master at a glance, but quite distinctive in design and can stand on its own IMO. Re the butterfly clasp & the polished finish, yes, it's a bit blingy (again a la the Yacht-Master). I thought a standard clasp would have been nicer, but maybe that would make the clasp too bulky. I wear mine on a rubber (tropic) strap. Like all Ball (tritium) watches, the mid-case is slightly thicker due to the use of tritium tubes on the hands & dial, but the Outlier overall dimensions are quite reasonable.
@@blethook nice to hear from someone that has one. And yes, I missed the lumed bezel on the SS one until I did the written review and noticed it does have a half lume bezel. I got a lot of flack for calling it a somewhat homage to the Explorer as people thing of homage as direct copy, and that’s not what I meant at all, it’s certainly a beautiful piece that stands on its own. Thank you for sharing your thoughts of ownership of this piece. 👍
@@BlackJack-ev3ko hello there, everything is covered in full review, which I have linked to this short in the related video and I’ll link it here as well in this comment. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-22s4omtYXiw.htmlsi=Yr14OLlXoS_gPRKn
@@tekxmcfly6159 well I didn’t get hosed, this is an old review and sent for review. And i believe it was supposed to be a Ronda movement? And some of those are made in China, so they very well could be using that. When you really start to dig into brands and manufacturing, a lot of them don’t do what they say or are what they appear to be.
@@watchreport you dont understand. Their entire company is a scam..i would not featute this brand on yout channrl makes you look fraudulent. This brand is notorious for entirety made in chyna when thry claim its USA.
Sure, but both are technically homaging an Omega Speedmaster two eye Chronograph with tach bezel. This Wayforth probably even more as it attempts to imitate the twisted or lyre lugs. This one added the double dial and a 12 hour internal bezel to differentiate itself a little.
The watch itself isn't bad but I've seen too many watches with that particular VK64 movement. The lack of a running second makes the respective watch feel a little lifeless. There is an alternative movement with a running second and a sweeping chrono hand made by Miyota, the 6S21 calibre.
Hey everyone. Sorry for the delay in getting this uploaded today, normally I don’t drop videos this late. A few hiccups today that I think many of us experienced. Anyways, hope you enjoy this one and make sure to check out our other videos while you are here. 🤣
I built my own field watch for under $75 US with parts from AliExpress. The case is 39.5 mm and has a screw down crown and I opted for the NH38. For near $300 US I'm going to have to give the watches in the video a big 👎.
Well then, that’s it I guess. We should all just order from Aliexpress. 🙄 I think it’s great you built your own watch on the cheap, but not everyone wants to do that. 👍
Thank you so much for this fantastic review! We appreciate your thorough analysis and the kind words about our SØVÆRN collection. Your insights are on point and we're thrilled to see you highlighting the details and craftsmanship we pride ourselves on. Keep up the great work! 😊⚓🌊
I own so manny watches and some are very pricey but I must say this is one of the most beautiful designed diving watch I ever saw. It looks like the mix of Orient saturation diver and skx .
I like this kind of watch and the design speaks to me. I really considered a purchase but what keeps me from ordering one is the way the end links are connected to rest of the bracelet. My wrist is just about 7 inch and I've seen other reviews where there is a gap because the first bracelet links drops right down as you mentioned.
@@AlexanderB. to me it’s less about the bracelet and end links and more about the straight profile of the case and lugs. If it had a male end link, there would be even more gap. Now on my 7 1/2 inch wrist there is barely a gap, but I have flat wrists which I think is the more important factor. Since the case and lugs don’t curve down, if you have a more rounded wrist there might be some gap, but on a flat wrist it should be fine. It’s still a relatively small watch at 39 by 46.7mm or so. For my wrist I can’t see it fitting much better and it’s very comfortable but every wrist is different, and I’ve definitely had watches where they should fit perfect and be comfortable and they don’t.
I heard motors 8215 are noisy can you let me know how bad it is and whether it’s only if you move the watch fast and also if so is it a gentle move or do you have to be shaking it violently for it to make noise
Nice! I love the green, need to see if I can get my hands on a green. The blue looks lovely as well. Please report back when you get them and what you think of them. 👍
A nice change from the summer series with this Nordic Marine field watch. My apologies that the preorder discount is over, but they do have a 10% off sign up discount on their website which will save a little over $50. Hope you enjoyed this video and make sure to check out some of our other reviews while you are here. 👍
I managed to pick up a nearly new white version off ebay and its excellent. Nice weight and really comfortable to wear. Am thinking of getting a white fkm or maybe a light grey strap in near future 😀
I bought the white one and it's beautiful. After your review of the prototype I was skeptic about it, but now I am glad that you are also impressed with the production version.
@@miroslavjagodic6015 nice. Hope you enjoy it. Like I said, prototypes or samples, anything that’s unfinished, whether they be watches, cars, phones etc. are hard to review. You don’t have a finished product that is ready for the customer and the one you have isn’t finished or perfect and yet I have to talk about what I have in hand and what possibly will be.
@@furleysbrain I also played with safe option with the white one. It is super nice and somehow elegant. But I would also agree that ice blue and cone orange are cool summer colours and they were first sold.
