The Beatles were pioneers always experimenting. They perfected the Beat-boy band sound very quickly. Then got a bit deeper. Help is sold as a jaunty pop song but listen to the lyrics and it is a real cry for help. They perfected amazing harmonies with Girl and This Boy, and again moved on to be at the forefront of psychedelic rock Lucy in the sky, then heavy metal, yes heavy metal with Helter-skelter and Revolution, and with this song A Day in the Life and Because, among others, there are aspects of early prog-rock about them. Not every song is amazing, but so many of them are. Saying that they are the most influential rock band is not an exaggeration. Don't worry about pausing we can hear the whole track elsewhere, we are here for your reaction.

In all honesty, you should force yourself to listen to the WHOLE SONG ALL AT ONCE! It takes you on an astonishing, masterful musical journey. And you won't truly appreciate what you've heard without digesting it like a sumptuous meal---without leaving the table. I think that this song doesn't has one clear meaning. But here's a couple of things that stand out to me: 1) the singer feels alienated and emotionally removed from the world around him..He describes, seeing a tragically deadly car accident, seeing a film about war, but he sounds distant and emotionally removed. 2) On some level, however, he must be traumatized because he sings "I'd love to turn you on" (which in the lingo of 1967, referred to share a drug )ike cannabis or, more likely, LSD. Then the orchestra swells, getting louder and faster and more chaotic, which I believe represents the "LSD trip" that he's experiencing; 3) when the music swells the second time, I believe that it represents the singer "crashing back down to Earh; 4) when he crashes back down to reality, he is back leading a mundane life, rushing to catch the bus to get to work, etc: 5) The next thinh is the music swelling frenetically, suggesting that he took another"trip" to escape the pain of life; 6) and then comes the foreboding finality of the powerfull piano chord. The chord sounds foreboding and final; 7) what that says is anybody's guess. Perhaps The Beatles did this deliberately in order to engage the audience's interest. But that's just a guess based on my experiences.

Hello! Just found your channel and I quite enjoyed your reaction to this song! You're right, this is a song that we all keep listening to again and again in order to enjoy and comprehend it. There's so much going on, all sorts of sounds and little audio treats. When The Beatles made this song--and even the record it came from--they we're on the forefront of a movement where they and other bands and musicians of their time (i.e. The Rolling Stones, The Who, Bob Dylan, Jimi Hendrix, etc.) were trying to transform pop rock into something to be considered as art. Before The Beatles made records like this, a lot of people considered them to be just another pop group not to be taken seriously. The Beatles themselves wrote this song to be a think piece but also a swirling kaleidoscope of sound. John Lennon took some lines from newspaper articles and wrote surrealistic takes on what he had read and he also included a little plug for a movie he appeared in at the time called, "How I Won The War"; Paul McCartney took some lyrics from a song he had not finished about waking up in the morning and added that to the middle of the song and came up with the idea of hiring an orchestra and letting them freak out while they moved from one octave to the next! The album this song comes from, called Sargent Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band is one of the greatest records ever made and deserves to be listened to from the first theme song to "A Day In The Life", all in one sitting. It's a masterpiece! Love you! You're beautiful! I look forward to seeing more of your reactions!

Wonderful reaction to an amazing song "Let It Be" by the Beatles Monica! I thoroughly enjoyed your reaction to the song very much ... as it truly is one of the Beatles BEST, (which is sung by Paul McCartney). (BTW you mentioned adding Let It Be to your Spotify playlist. There are a few different mixes that have come out through the years. The one that has the harder guitar solo (done by George Harrison) in the middle of the song is the album version of 1970 (remastered in 2009). The remastered 2009 one is the most popular version on Spotify for the Beatles Let It Be with the harder guitar solo. (I'm not sure if you pinned the picture of the album cover- with the Glyn Johns mix to your post ...but his mix is definitely NOT it. Though the album cover is the same.) Continue to enjoy The Beatles ... and we will continue to look forward to more reactions! Other great songs by the Beatles you might like are: "Here Comes the Sun", "Hey Jude"-Performed LIVE on the David Frost Show, "Something", "In My Life", "Yesterday", "Oh! Darling", "Hello Goodbye", "Help!", "Come Together" and "Don't Let Me Down"(performed LIVE on the roof top of their recording studio! Which was the last time they performed LIVE. Let It Be was recorded during that timeframe too, but in the studio, as seen in the video you just reacted to).

It opens with Lennon's narrative thought to be inspired by a report on the death of Tara Browne, a Guinness heir and London socialite well known to the Beatles who was killed in a car crash in 1966. Then he references a film, which may be the one he'd just appeared in, a a dark comedy about WWII, Richard Lester's How I Won the War. The part that really discombobulated you was a 24 bar continuous glissando with all the orchestra players told to begin on the lowest pitch of their instrument and slide up to the highest pitch on their instruments ending near an E major chord at a prescribed tempo. They recorded it four times, and collaged all the takes together. The middle part is McCartney with a prosaic slice of life, waking up, getting ready, a cup of tea, running for a bus, he said it was a reminiscence of school days. The third part has Lennon again drawing on a news article, this one concerning the discovery of thousands of potholes in Blackburn, Lancashire. The end is a sustained E major chord played by Lennon, McCartney, Starr and Mal Evans sharing three pianos, with George Martin on harmonium. As the sound decayed they continually turned up the recording levels to make it ring as long as possible. By the end the levels are so hot you can hear all the ambient sounds in the room. Of course the magic is in how it's all put together, the atmosphere created. Hope that helps.

Nice reaction! Members are (from left to right): Yuimetal (former member, left in 2018), Su-Metal (THE voice, and the Queen!), Moametal (still very active member, and ruler of crowds and security guys 🤣). They were 14, 16 and 14 years when they did this performance. Clearly younger, very young 🤣 They were some hell of performers already! And you haven´t seen anything yet 😉 I saw them live, and yes, they are even better live! Absolutely awesome!

Many members of The One will say that this song isn't among BABYMETAL's best - I beg to differ. Although BABYMETAL does have many songs that are better, this song defines what BABYMETAL is: heavy metal pleasantly mixed with J-pop without missing a beat - kawaii metal at its best, and one of the best videos of the "Yui Era" (more on that later). Well, you’ve opened a can of worms! BABYMETAL has an extensive history (and lore) which I won’t get into but a quick synopsis: they’ve been around since 2010, and started when their lead singer - known as Su-metal (Suzuka Nakamoto) - was about twelve, and the two "cheerleaders" (officially "scream and dance" (backing vocals)) - Moametal (Moa Kikuchi) and Yuimetal (Yui Mizuno) - were both around eleven. Unfortunately, Yui left the group in 2018 because of health concerns, and early in 2023 Momoko Okazaki (Momometal) was named a member of the group. They do not play instruments but are backed by the Kami Band - session musicians who are among the best that Japan (and the U.S.) has to offer. BABYMETAL started a brand new genre of music ("kawaii metal" - cute metal), and they cannot be pigeon-holed - they are almost always thinking and moving outside box; they made listening to metal FUN! They have, to date, four studio albums with over fifty songs, and have been on a number of world tours. It is common knowledge among their devoted fans (known as "The One") that BABYMETAL is best served live, but they do have several music videos that are real works of art. I suggest you go back to the beginning, and react to their first two music videos, "Doki Doki Morning" and "Iine!" (pronounced "E-nay"), both released in 2012. You’ll notice those are the first two on this list of recommended songs (with links to suggested versions). The first sixteen are from what I've come to call "The Golden Age of BABYMETAL" (better known as "The Yui Era"). This list also includes all four songs of the BABYMETAL sub-group Black BABYMETAL (just Yui and Moa while Su is taking a break): Doki Doki Morning (official music video) ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-cirhQ8iLdbw.htmlsi=k84SUx4P01t9M5ic Iine! If nothing else, it can be used as a reference to find high quality versions of BABYMETAL songs without mucking about - if they are on the list. Anyway . . . . Another recommendation (read "challenge"): react to an entire BABYMETAL concert. I suggest: "Legend 1997 Apocalypse" ru-vid.com/group/PLdBAj9hZ91wCao72oSqTMLrGpIDOqzR2Q (the video you just reacted to is from this concert) and/or "Budokan Black Night" (2014) ru-vid.com/group/PLdBAj9hZ91wBwsBfjsKH9zWxA5YOOUkSI Both concerts are, in a word, incredible. A technical suggestion, if I may: when you pause, go back about five or ten seconds before resuming, that way you regain the flow of the song. You may or may not know that if you tap your keyboard space bar once it will pause the video, another tap will resume play. Also, if you tap the left arrow key once, it will rewind the video five seconds (a second tap for another five seconds), and tapping the right arrow key will advance the video five seconds. This may also help baffle the YT copyright police. Also, you shouldn't have to pause any more than three times during the video. Just sayin'. Anyway . . . . Enjoy your trip down the foxhole! (You're in for a wild ride!!!) Keep rockin' BABYMETAL!!! (Sorry about the wall!) KITSUNE UP!!! 🤘🦊🤘

Welcome back to Babymetal! This is the fun and goofy side of Babymetal, but you'll find that Babymetal's sound is quite varied. This whole concert represents death and rebirth. Death of a pop-idol, and rebirth as a metal goddess. This was Legend 1997 concert, in Dec 2013 for lead Su-metal's 16th birthday. You'll find out what happens to the statue at the end of the concert (closing song: "BABYMETAL DEATH"). Here are a few suggestions: *Road of Resistance (Official Live):* Epic battle anthem. *Headbanger (Legend 1997):* Heavy and adorable, and lots of classic metal elements. *Monochrome (Pia Arena MM 2023):* Heartfelt, melodic, emotional, and heavy. A more mature Babymetal sound from last year (now in their mid-20s). *YAVA! (Official Live - Legend MM):* A funky groove, and newest 3rd member Momometal's 21st BDay show in Mar 2024. *BABYMETAL DEATH (Legend 1997):* 0% chocolate, 100% brutal. Look forward to more Babymetal!! 🤘🦊

As I'm sure has already been said either here or on your first reaction video to BM and EC, BM does not have any bad songs. They sound even better live (So far I can only say that according to videos, haven't actually saw them live myself yet but will be in November) and are probably the only band where I'll actually listen to the live version (I typically just skip live songs when I'm casually listening). That being said for more Babymetal, there's a few different routes you can take, if you want to go older songs, I would do IDZ as Grington suggested or Road of Resistance Live in Japan (Official Video). For newer songs, I would go with Monochrome, either Live at PIA Arena or Piano version on The First Take (Better yet do a double reaction and do both) or BxMxC Live Legend MM (Was uploaded within the past week on the official Babymetal channel) I also had to have a quick laugh at a comment you made during this video which brought up in my mind another band that you may enjoy, if you do it, you'll know the comment I'm referring to. The band that came to my mind though is Jinjer with their song Pisces done in a live studio session.

Great reaction. This video went viral at the time and propelled Babymetal onto a world stage but, although they used live footage, it was a studio recording dubbed over it. Actual live is where they are at their best every time. The images are from a concert (Legend 1997) filmed in December 2013 marking Su-Metal's 16th birthday and her transition from a J-Pop idol to a Kawai Metal Queen. It all started quite pop orientated with them miming plus a fake band behind dressed in skeleton outfits (Babybones they were called) then they sang live after the first song and, finally, a proper live band backed them (The Kami Band. Some of Japan's finest session musicians). The song 'Headbanger' from that part of the concert would be worth seeing and it's real live sound. It all culminated in 'Babymetal Death' which you may want to watch at some point, maybe not yet. That's when the statue behind them comes into play.
