His comments on Rolling Stone are ironic, considering they gave him his own little article to write in every issue of the magazine. Rolling Stone's way of apologizing I guess?
I had a Band and was the Leader and now nobody knows me so I understand how these knuckleheads were and now we and they all paid the price. Music is the Universal Language. Peace Out
I always liked Bob Costas and my appreciation of him was heightened recently when he described the horrible mess Trump supporters are in. As to the Marakesh Express I always loved that song
I saw this band open for Kansas in STL, I think in 1977 and I think at Kiel Auditorium. The '70s are a bit fuzzy. Talk about a mind-blowing night. Oh, yeah.
growing up in LA at the same time makes these interviews kinda hit home ,,been up in laurel canyon at the same time as all of these guys ....wow a wonderful time in my life
There’s a thing in this life called Synchronicity 🪷👌🏽🪷 He may have been a difficult person to work with But David had the gift of Healing Hearts 🪶The year I moved to California to become independent I had the opportunity to meet CSN in Atlantic City, NJ in late August 1992 and my Stepfather had Passed Away on September 1st of Leukemia. That Night of CSN Music and the love of my High School Teacher’s sister won a contest for a Group of us to Meet the Band. Joe Walsh had opened for them and was hanging around the contest winners but he was a little Buzzed, Yet it was Wonderful to see him Clean and Laying Down God’s Love for Us All 🤙🏽
The Doors still hold up. 50 plus years is not a fluke. Unfortunately their best performances were not televised. You might not like his personality but morrison was the real deal. He didnt come from a music background but at times sounded like Sinatra.
David *ALWAYS* hid his teeth, and I've *NEVER* seen him smile. What's going on with his dental work, or lack of....was between him and his dentist. It musta been a trian wreck in that grill.
The Tower is a Popular Place for us East Coasters to get Baptized in The Church of Rock & Roll 🙏🏽 You Know What I’m Talking About 🤙🏽 Or when Phil Busted Out Box of Rain in 1986 ✌🏽
Three voices that instantaneously realized the second that they weaved them into an effortlessly beautiful vocal tapestry, they knew that would make them ICONIC MUSICAL GENIUSES AROUND THE WORLD.......NOT TO MENTION GAZILLIONAIRES
When Pete started strumming his acoustic, I noticed that the audio wasn't in sync with his instrument. Then he really hammered out the intro and then I knew Townshend would NEVER do something so insulting to himself and his millions and millions of fans.
Damn, such a wailing unique and powerful voice that is literally burned into the brains of millions and millions of people worldwide. And unbelievably hasn't changed one single bit
I am old enough to be around when the CSN and CSNY albums first came out and as far as im concerned both were instant classics.I still play them to this day(2024),and i hope to continue doing so for a few years yet.Fabulous music, wonderful musicians.
Croz repeated his dislike for Morrison to me a few years before he passed. I suggested his true issue was he and Jim both had huge egos and needed to command the room. He laughed and said "You may be right".
I always liked Crosby, really fascinated by him and his honesty.... I read his first book... I'm not a big fan of his politics but he had the right to speak how he feels, it is America..... He comes off arrogant at times but it is really pride, he had a lot of talent... As far as Morrison is concerned, I like the Doors (one of my favorite bands of my era) and read all their books, including Jim's book, written by his buddy but the truth is Jim was a real pain, he caused a lot of problems for that band but when he was sober he was a pretty good guy .... This was a great interview..! Love Costas.
The Doors & Jim Morrison statements erk'ed me! The Doors music stands up today. I don't think David Crosby was the easiest guy to get along with from what i can tell. CSNY were awesome but man he didn't have to put down the Doors! 🤟
I have always enjoyed Stephen and everyone else especially 4 Way Street. Stephen came to Omaha alone in the late 70s we sat in the 4th row it was a GREAT Concert
