Why would anyone pay money for a watch which has plastic inside? Real watches are made only from metal gears. Wearing Michael Kors is a shame in the eyes of people who actually understand watches. Better buy an old scratched Seiko 5 Automatic for 30 $ and people will respect You.
10/07/2022 Thank you for this video. My installation was not as smooth as yours. Had to fight to get the housing unit to snack back in place. Nonetheless, mission accomplished.
You forgot to mention that you may need to really push it in. I had use socket and gently hit it with a hammer to get pushed in tight so it wouldn’t fall out when locking in the visor to the clip.

What you fell to mention is that on these model which is a family of VD 53 movements which if you look at back of case you’ll see a white stamp That says short watch by touching positive side of battery and one of the gold dots on movement if you don’t with time watch will loose time or stop.
What you fail to understand is that, not everyone is a watch mechanic(lack of a better term). Maybe you should be more open to help the community than spread negativity.
Got a new Michael Kors chronograph very similar to this can you tell me the number on the battery? And I wonder if they use the same battery for all the chronographs. Mine is MK8413
I bought mine on eBay. Size and fit was very close to OEM. Smaller plastic pin was 0.5mm too large in diameter. Filed it down so it would insert and clip into place. Also, metal clip held visor too tightly. Bent it in somewhat to reduce pressure.
The same way you would normally. Pull out the dial that changes the time, but only halfway. If its changing time you pulled it all the way. Hope this helps.

I can't locate any watch back tool anywheres and I'm getting so frustrated... So I tried to use scissors and it kept slipping and now I have 3 scratches on my husband's mk- 8278.....I feel so bad...not even Walmarts had a tool. They said someone stole theirs last year...any advise ? Thank You
