Here's a thought. If you want a safety device... MOUNT OUTBOARD CAMERAS. Accidents are rife when pilots cannot see what is going on with their engines, underbelly and control surfaces. SpaceX has been doing it for years and they are flying rockets at supersonic speeds and beyond atmosphere. To not do this is to not use seatbelts and airbags in cars. (Lest we forget, cars have surround viewing.) Talk about lack of insight. This industry needs to sharpen up.

lack of communication. cockpit did not communicate emergency, ATC did not do it's job of listening and passing proper info. But eating on alternate flying time's fuel is scary. hopefully, not to many pilots does...But (from an ex FSS point of view) pilot should never neglect weather.
