Wish it would have stayed at 6,444 population. It was quiet and serene. Now, native Pearlanders are witnessing it stripped of the hometown feel, only to be replaced by an influx of people changing it to their liking ..To newly inhabit and stealing a heritage instead of embracing and accepting it is wrong, but it has happened. A new city should have been established for the west side beyond Cullen. All the Hwy 228 and surrounding area is not Pearland, no matter what you say...it isn't. In the hearts of the ol' timers is to know Pearland.
They tried to get me to do this and i quickly declined. There's no point unless you want to do the community service. All i did was pay my fine and it was over with.
I met Scott back in the 80s when he was living in the Pittsburgh area rebuilding the B-17 909 after it crashed at our local airport during an Airshow. I was only a kid that hung out at the airport and spent a lot of time learning sheet metal fab and all things aviation. Scott was an amazing inspiration and I never forgot him. He is truly everything aviation past and present. I remember him flying the luscombe Junior then and today are still some of my fondest memories. Thanks for making this Video
