Hi I'm Maria and I love traveling. I would love to bring you along with me as I roam.
I do all kinds of travels: Nature, cities, culture, beaches.. I love it all! Travel fuels me, and I try to do at least 100 travel days per year (2014 was no exception).
When I'm not traveling, I live in Denmark with my husband. My goal is to live a simple life, and I have done this by paying off debt and radical downsizing through the past 4 years. If you are interested in the simpler lifestyle, check out my other site, which I run with my husband: www.godownsize.com/
I have been travel blogging for a while on www.onegirlonesuitcase.com - So check it out, if you want to see what I have been up to previously.
I post new videos every week, so please subscribe to my channel if you like it:)
In Europe you shouldn't eat berries that are on the side of the road - because many people let their dogs walk there and they pee! 🙂 And you say both but they are three !??? Eiger, Mönch and Jungfrau ! So tripple would be right ! First finish school - than travel LOL
I loooooove Sagrada Familia. One of the most spectacular Buildings made (when it´s finished). But i hate to see people wearing the shortest shorts and tank tops to a church and i´m not even religious...
the more I listen the more whiny this woman sounds... here's a tip, go to Florida, everything's open all the time. Plus you get your burger the same time as your fries
Swiss travel pass or regional passes. Get food from the supermarket. Be wary about staying in hotels not in a major city as sometimes public transportation doesn't run late at night so i ended up paying for a taxi (88chf) for 20 minutes ride.
Piaggio doesn't make vespas like the good old days. My vespa primavera 2020 has multiple rust spots I am not the only customet check youtube for testimony
Gee! The food and restaurant prices mentioned for Switzerland 6 years ago are the same as today here in South Carolina, one of the cheapest places in the USA. Many will attribute this high prices to inflation worsened since last year, but I also lived in Texas (supposedly cheap) about 8 years ago and prices were not that different. No wonder the USA doesn't attract as many tourists as Europe does. USA really only has nature to show, which Europe does as well.
Is it easiest to make your home base Florence or Sienna. Sienna seems more affordable and more intimate… but not sure if it is as practical if you want to do day trips to wineries, Pisa, etc.
In regards to your comments on "siesta", there seems to be no consistency to ANYTHING Italians do. And yes, siesta is quite irritating, but it's more of a thing in the smaller towns and villages. The thing I found most irritating though is when they would leave their shops unattended and you'd have to walk around looking for the owner. The food, I kinda get what you're saying. I ordered Chicken Pasta Alfredo and Tortellini Preschiuto and the chunks of meat they put in it were so small you need a microscope to see them. Language, I personally didn't experience this. Aside from some of the local markets and restaurants, this was one of the easiest countries to communicate in English
I'm proud, Let me tell you that I joined Vespa Company in Pakistan and was associated with the company from 1988 to 1999. I ran Vespa well during my job, I am still crazy about Vespa. Mr. Zafar Atif Lahore (Pakistan) awzl2002@yahoo.com
Don't go to Switzerland if you're cheap. Worry about your career if you can't afford to travel. There are way too many videos on how to be cheap while traveling.
