You have inspired me to Get not one but two Tanpuras . You are really informative . For my studio at home i need Tanpura stands . Where did you get yours ? I cannot find them anywhere.
Im really digging the southern tamburas. The transients are much softer and the resonance is very even dynamically. This makes it a perfect canvas upon which the voice or solo instrument can paint upon. Any recommended craftsmen?
Shyama Shastri has reached the highest level of composers with fairly low number of kritis. Unbelievably beautiful, intricate and rhythmic. The bhakti bhava in the kritis is just mesmerizing. All the artists have done complete justice to this master piece.
Thank you so much for thus series. They are very informative. I just got a tambura & I have zero knowledge on how to use it. Your video made it very easy for me.. 🙏
Namasteji 🙏 Can you please kindly tell me where in India I can buy an authentic tanpura that uses only organic materials: no endlar polyvinyl acetate glue, no epoxy, no cheap store bought varnish and no celluloid. What I’m referring to is real traditional tanpura. In your video, you mentioned the Sarasvati Veena factory, established in 1918. Does this factory still exist? Would you be able to help with advice? Thanks 🙏
Wow. This is amazing. I studied western classical voice. I love what you are doing here! So together and in sync. No separation. Delightful and spiritual.
Great....creative collective singing for a cause. Congrats & thanks. But, please give a transcript in Tamil and English and the meaning of it so as to appreciate your gesture for the noble cause.---cpv, Mysuru.
This might be the best rendering of the song I've ever heard after Semmangudi's version. It really is something special!!! Rithvik, you've sang the song the may its meant to be sung. Congrats on a masterful performance.
