Hello!! I'm Thrashmetalkid! But you can just call me Thrash! I do metal related videos such as covers or others. I mainly a bassist but I also do vocals and play guitar.
Check out my bands Second Place and Duck Intestines!
can Paul bostaph play the double bass? anyone knows? I saw slayer 3 times live. only with Lombardo there was an actual double tight bass present. love Paul's creative work especially in Divine intervention, poetry in rhythm.
The way I look at it is Dette and Paul are Hall of Fame drummers but Dave is basically the Wayne Gretzky of Thrash drumming. I would love any of the guys behind the kit. Glad I got to see see them all play with Slayer.
We all know here Baloff was the master, but he is dead. SO, lets all thank FAK that Souza is back. That Rob Pukes can go suck on something that looks like a corn dog. What a piece of ... he was backstage on multiple occasions. As a frontman he was just your typical USA Chad. And as a singer he was mediocre to say the least. After 2 years of that man i got sick of one of my favorite bands thanks to him. Now, they are back on my radar... 🤟🏻 Welcome back Steve!!!
I prefer Bostaph’s style, but I think Dave has better live endurance. Dette is probably better than both of them technically, but we never got to hear him create.
Paul is an superb drummer, but Dave has a certain sharpness and snappiness - a certain accuracy of timing that I think is very hard for other drummers to replicate.
Paul never played and never plays cleanly. Not even on the albums. You can hear that at some point he can't do it anymore and fills the gaps with irrelevant fills. He's ok, but absolutely not a world drummer.
Dave to me has the best feel of course he wrote the parts definitely one of the best metal drummers of all time one of my personal influences sconce I started playing when I was 9 years old
Rob Dukes! I am listening eXodus since Tempo of the Damned, but Shovel Headed Kill Machine + the two Exhibitions are my favorite albums. I watched them in the summer of 2008, the stadium of Kavarna (Bulgaria), co-headlining with Overkill, one of the best events in my life.
I do love Lombardo but Dette is the best and Bostaph is the weakest among them. Especially what Bostaph does in Angel of Death is a shame compared to the other two.
