I grew up farming and continued to farm for a living. Farming is my passion. I've wanted to capture videos like this for quite some time. Please join me and watch my farming videos. I hope you enjoy!
The International 5088 was designed for a variety of agricultural tasks, including plowing, planting, cultivating, and hauling. Its design and capabilities made it suitable for use on medium to large-sized farms.
Hi Blast from the Past, thank you for these nice videos reflecting farm machinery/implements I grew up with (still have some...). Congratulations on your wedding anniversary - I envy you, my first date/love/wife passed away to CA after 30 years together, mostly supporting me. Your invention of the custom side grain wagon is a brilliant "make-do" creation of farmers. May God bless you both, Ciao, L (Morning Side and Star Shine Farms, Inc, ME)
I'm old enough to remember those machines in their day and the people that farmed then I think it was a lot better time strong families that helped each other I miss that just a lot simpler time.
My uncle had an AC Big Bin 66 with a corn head on it and he had the AC hitch to pull a wagon beside the combine, Didnt take long to fill a 25 bu grain tank ! LOL He shelled 100 acre of corn that way one year. Never seen one sense then but the IH 80 with the hitch with wagon come mighty close ! Love the old iron like this. Your wife is doing a mighty fine job in my book ! Bandit
I took the fast hitch from a 153 row crop cultivator and part of the frame . Then I had that much of it hooked on to the tractor and the prongs level. Bought 3 rake wheels and had some 4 bolt hubs that I had scrapped . Enlarged the wheel holes with torch to fit the hubs then built the frame.
Good running H. We use a M quite often. However fuel is getting high dollar. So we decided it was time to drag a H we have around and see if we can get it running. It should be cheaper to bush hogg with then a M. We uploaded two videos ot us working on it today.
That’s a great video of your harvest! Brings great memories of harvest when I was growing up we had the H on the auger and gravity flow wagons pulled by the 706 Diesel and a 1206 too ! We had a JD 6600 combine and 444 cornhead
Back when I was a kid and only had an elevator we always put a tarp down for easy cleanup. This barely makes a mess, I clean up the best and let the bunnies and my goose eat the rest. Thanks for watching.
