Why not a full CDL truck if the route is 2+ loads and growing? Regardless, love this project that will put together. Old New Way packer is sweet on the fresh new Ford. Happy to see him continue to grow the business!
Fantastic video, great description too. Those strobes at night sure stand out, love the night footage as it is a real point of different. Brilliant looking truck too, it is cool to see these smaller trucks. Surprised they start so early and not do more of their route during daylight hours? I guess the streets are quieter and the dump/transfer station would have less of a wait time etc. Keep up the great work!
@LEU_WM_266 I forgot to mention that, most resi guys start around six, I always found it interesting with how far they send commercial trucks. can only will's waste buying a larger truck when they expand more, new way king cobra seems like a good choice imo
Thanks! They run some pretty rural areas that during the daytime are ridden with 18 wheelers hauling ass causing it to be pretty dangerous. So as a safety precaution they get out there before the traffic. They’re usually at the dump as soon as it opens up. Thanks for the comment!
what with the tiny trucks? would it not have made more sense for a large amount of trash to send one larger truck that could handle that and then some vs 2 tiny trucks that were about full at the half way point?
Nice, you really need to come to Augusta and snag one, they don't lid flip but some of them are quick as hell and I think you might enjoy them (they sometimes lid flip the cans, also there's one ez pack that got the arm sped but but idk what route it runs)
Iheard Montgomery alabama got these too and i hate them. Im gonna assume those LEU EZ-Thons bit the dust? At least they kept the original cart system i guess. There are very few diesel WM yards in georgia and majority are CNG. Pretty sure Columbus, Vadolsta and a couple others are diesel still
Yeah the EZ - Thons have been replaced for a few years now by these and some other ASLs. Yeah a handful of small diesel sites but the major ones seem to be majority CNG.
@@GarbageTrucksofAugusta. So the universals are single grippers, meaning that there‘s only one gripper on each side of the arm. The ones that have one gripper on one side and two on the other side are Tri-Grip grippers. There are also grippers that are similar to Tri-Grip, including the McNeilus ZR, New Way ASLs and Labries.
Your videos never disappoint sir! This video speaks volumes on the fantastic composition! The amazing cart variety, and a driver on a hustle with his curotto. You made a truck I’d usually find generic, Entertaining! If I’m being real, you’re the one who inspired me years ago. Didn’t think I’d do anything like this ever, or get popular, but now I’ve surpassed 1K. Again, no clue how or why. But if you’d like, feel free to check out some of my recent uploads. I’d love to hear your thoughts and advice on the quality, and some tips on how to improve! Best Regards -Cameron
Glad I was able to have a positive impact on you! I’ve been watching the vids I will be sure to drop some comments when I have time. Thanks for the comment!
Do you know how to make the packer go all the way in from inside the truck... Where you could dump behind the packer if your not paying attention....I did it twice but don't know how I did it...
Depends on what type of truck you drive. These ones it’s actually not even possible as the blade for the hopper only clears the hopper. The body raises to dump the load.
