After seeing pictures over the last few years of the absurd amount of trash left behind after Mardi Gras celebrations in the French quarter of New Orleans, I decided this year I would drive out and catch it on film. I arrived the night before and walked around to see the masses of people partying on bourbon street. Upon seeing how packed the French quarter was, I knew the next morning was gonna be just as heavy as I had hoped. And sure enough as I walked from my hotel to bourbon street at 3:30 the next morning, I saw some of the biggest & messiest piles of trash I had ever seen. Shortly after arriving, I commenced filming the companies handling their stops. I spent most of my time following the 2 IV CCC Heil 5000s, and the 2 MRU 5000s they switched into after packing out their respective trucks. You can also see some River Parish Heil Pythons, A Waste Connections Mcneilus, A Ramelli Mcneilus, & a clip of the litter cleanup operation. Everything was filmed on bourbon street or a side street.
Enjoy!
Thanks to all the crews for letting me film!
