Hey! I'm Ray Alvarez | Portrait & Wedding Photographer. I love to travel and host photo trips along with my team, but when we aren't traveling we are in our studios in Florida or New York creating with the community and models alike. I wanted to share tips, info and tricks with other growing photographers and open up my world to creatives like you. I want to share my 6+ years experience without drowning you with information. I like simple and straight to the point info and that is how I plan to share it with you.
My videos are created for people with ambition and eager to learn. Newcomers into the industry whether a hobbyist or going pro. This information is out there, but this is my way and my style and I am excited you want to learn from me. Thanks!
@@alexmaranon5944 it’s a great software. To me it’s all about the time I’m saving. All the time I save can be put back into my business, my free personal time or time with my family. Plus the features are great! I always appreciate your support brother!
Not sure why but mine didnt recognize the camera despite being connected to wifi already it kept giving me a notice, use another app and send mto Creators App that also didn't connect...annoying
Great work!! I saw that the C-stand was still a bit wobbly. I have learnt that putting the heaviest side (which ever direction your boom arm is facing) on the same side as the longest leg will help balance your stand even without weights.
@@ArtisanVids_1107 great question. There is a device called a “remote trigger” attached to the camera that is connected via a specific channel to communicate with the flash unit.
I use Cheetahstand, its an amazing drop stand. Just remember to use my code: shootwithray to save yourself some money. Use the link: cheetahstand.com/shootwithray
@@elenajimenez9509 I am so sorry that happened. Cheetahstands are great and have a wider spread with the legs to help avoid that.Let me know if you have any questions on which one I recommend specifically send me a message on IG: shootwithray
Thanks! I appreciate you watching the video. I made a video just for this. I have the Nikon and Sony video available. Here is a start: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-ZurDkiqQi5I.html
Thank you for this, now I just wish my Z7 had a motion detection trigger, so when these crazxy fighting hummingbirds land for .01 seconds it grabs them.
Nice! I can now check off "Connect D850 to iPad" from my to-do-list. I did a couple of test shots sitting at my desk using the iPad to remote control everything and it sure was fun to just touch a spot on my iPad and have the camera focus there. It was even better seeing the downloaded picture moments later.
Nice shots, only thing I didn't like was the posing in the first half with hands forward. I'm a quincenera photographer too and she seems like shes not that shy why not pose her better?
this does not seem to be working anymore with the new Creator's app that prevents you from using Imaging Edge anymore :( did you find a solution? Thanks
Very helpful content. I shoot some low-light proms and dances - would love to see how others accomplish this without bringing 45 pounds of lighting gear with them. Thanks for the MagMod recommendations. I currently use some of the modifiers on my Godox V1N and am wondering if this flash is powerful enough for the likes of your Quinceanera photoshoot. Thoughts?
does not do it real time transfer like for example the capture one pilot….here in Nikon you have to update the coming photos by clicking out of download and then click download again to get the new photos….it is annoying and shortcoming unless I missed something that makes incoming photos stream?
That sucks i been trying to find a work around so far I haven't found one. One day im going to try cascable. FYI snap bridge is sketchy nikon user over 10 yrs. [I don't feel clients have to wait for snapbridge to feel like if it wants to work. (Sorry rant)] can't we use a monitor?
@@thebigLcom olympus is lightyears ahead of the rest...how did they go belly up i have no idea. Must be the crappy photographers shitty "pros" trashing micro 4/3d.
Hair is something I always struggle with. Flyaways especially. I typically ask women to try and pat their hair down or if it’s really bad a touch of hair spray. I also like the idea of hair in back for side closest to you, and back for far. Little things that really elevate your final image Thanks for sharing!
Thanks for sharing Ray! I can see this is an older video because I know you’ve made some set up changes. It would be nice to get down to a one light setup. I would just need a that bigger 48” softbox. Recently downgraded to the mini reflector for convenience and have been loving my x drop (hated my old circle pop out one like in your video)
