21 civic owner here as per the water getting under engine cover , water would get into coil then spark plug , and would rust the spark plug shaft (idk what's called its what the spark plug goes down into )but it will cause misfires , problem was solved with coil replacement and spark plug . also care-full when washing check engine after water will most likely get in there .also if you daily drive get after market rims and tires, the ride will change like night and day ! love this car hope everyones enjoying it !

I have a 2021 and let me ask you. Did you find the seats a little bit uncomfortable for your lower back and legs at first? And did you get better if so overtime?,
I Just went yesterday for a test drive on a 2018 type R with 4500 miles on it and and second year was grinding a couple of times so I'm planing on doing the transmission fluid flush as soon as I get it, other that that the car was 10/10 Thanks for your videos man! 🙏
best way to save ur clutch is when u know ur coming to a complete stop, clutch in put it in neutral clutch out and just let it role, u dont want to ride ur clutch for long, as long as u in neutral it doesn't matter how fast u clutch out
I have a 2019 Rallye Red Type R and does it still break necks all day lol. I had a lady knock on my window just to compliment me on it. I haven’t ran into any of those issues yet thank god I love mine tho and I don’t think it’s a Ferrari 🤣
Iam on the market at the moment i found one for 28,000 2018. Iam trying to at least go in with 5,000 dp iam almost there gopefulling the monethly wont be to to expensive
hey man i bought my 2018 at 53,000 had it for 2 moths and spun 2 bearings and it and it cost 24k for the new motor under warranty it and the dealer that did the work never adjusted the head the car sounded i a diesel and i was told it computer needs to relearn itself so i took it home and drove it and oil was pissing out the top of the motor i was able to take it back and they adjusted the leavers on the head and not it runs better then when i bought it o and i did buy a clutch master stage 2 and now i need to buy a new battery because the car sitting all this time lol the nightmare is almost over lol
I love my 21' CTR. Mind you that it is my weekend car and does not see much rain either as it sits in the garage during the season. I probably have lowest running milage in CA with little to no mods (Mugen lip kit & CAI). Overall its a great car and probably my last in terms of "sport performance". Its a keeper for sure since I wanted a Type R when I was younger.
I’m looking to go PRL as well with my FL5 just as you did. It looks like you have all the turbo inlet piping and intercooler upgraded. What HP are you making as you sit ?
Around this time with FBO and just the off the shelf hondata 93 tune I put 352 on the dyno on a 100+ degree day. With these bolt-one and a custom tune probably around 370-380 :)
Guessing you were just on the basemaps for Hondata? If you get a custom tune with your mods you should easily be able to make around 370whp on 93. I know this is an old vid so you might already be there/past that though 😂
i have a 2005 honda s2000 that ive owned for three years. i absolutly love the s2000 but i want a newer car and more space because i want to start a family and the type r is the perfect car. i might have to sell the s2k for a type r i dont know please help.
What is the brand and type of your exhaust!! Is aswome, I also want to thank you for your videos. I used it while I was searching for my new TypeR. Thanks to your videos I bought my Civic TypeR FK8 (facelift) also in Black #37326 Greets from The Netherlands
I'm watching this for fun. Lol. I have an Si and I already know how to drive a standard. Great video though. I enjoyed it. Question for you if you see this. Does the Type R have rev hang? Asking as I want to get a Type R for my next car but the rev hang will drive me nuts if the Type R has it. My Si has it and it drives me up the wall. Really hoping the Type R doesn't have it as I won't buy it if it has it.
A stock ctr tune has slight rev hang no where near as bad as the si from what i hear. You can also reduce it a lot with hondata. So yes there is rev hang but its not too terrible!
Just came across this video, this is an awesome watch!! Any tips on uphill traffic?? I just bought my type r a bit ago and am nervous to drive on highways.
only thing I think you missed Is the the head unit / stereo is the worst. 50% of the time my car play wont work or the screen just goes black, no radio, no nothing!
any cali owners who could share the insurance cost for like a late twenty year old? I was reading online that you can get a low cost by just saying its a 'civic' lol seems legit but also too good to be true?
