I wish they would remaster this, it's the best one in the series or one of the best at least. I've been currently playing Secret and LeChucks Revenge and I actually think Secret is better than the LeChucks Revenge (which I think is the most popular if I'm not mistaken?). They're all good but it's between Secret and Curse for me as my favourite one I think 😊🙏🏼
i recently beat this game using game guide after never beating it when I was a kid. according to the guide there was a glitch that doesnt let you progress past get to the end of the 3rd act. I always was stuck. Now as a grownup, I realize this game is nearly impossible to beat. Some of the puzzles or stuff you combine makes no sense. Also I picked up plenty of items that had no use. Which probally made it even harder.
One of the funniest games I've ever played, and a solid adventure game to do the LucasArts brand proud. This might be the best voice acting in a game, ever.
The dialogue in the Hardtack & Trenchfoot treasure burying scene is so good. "If you didn't want pirates rummaging around in your trousers while you were sleeping, you should have said so."

You get most of the achievements for just completing the game without using hints, in under 3 hours. i was playing the game normally but got so pissed off at the whole bouncing off the walls thing fucking up the timing on one of the puzzles that me and my friend i was streaming to decided to just watch the ending instead lol, also do not get me fucking started on how much of a pain it was to get the game to stream
The music in the credits has such a soothing and nostalgic feeling for me, I guess it's just a nice reminder of passing this game a long time ago reading the funny credits. I still sometimes sing the tune to this day.
I don’t know why I say this but I just thought it would’ve been interesting to see Guybrush says goodbye to his crew and Otis and Carla would’ve been happy to be crew members for him since he didn’t leave them on Monkey Island and they all sailed safely home to Melee Island altogether. Well anyway good game, it was hard for me at first but it still even turned out to be better than the second game in the series.

Ha, ha, thanks! I'm aware it's possible to buy for as low as 2000 (in ultimate talkie) but it always struck me as odd that they went to the effort of letting you negotiate him down that far - after all it has zero impact on the rest of the game...
I never managed to complete this game, but always loved going back to try. This was a wonderful walkthrough and really enjoyed finally seeing the outcome! I'll have to give this another go 😁
I played this one so much when I was younger, more than the original. Loved Simon's new sarcastic, rude attitude - lots of humour and cutting comedy in this one and some brilliant locations with great atmosphere, such as McSwampy and the geeks playing their game. Really enjoyed it. Fab playthrough!
I love this game, and the series. Felt it was a really cheeky take on point n' click with good humour. STS2 went above and beyond, and even better in my opinion. But this was a solid debut and very atmospheric in parts. Thanks for the video! 👍
I played this as a preteen, and could not understand english, but i was persistent! After countless hours, i finally got.. outside the tower, but gave up after that.
