I was diagnosed with Hyperthyroidism 2 years ago and was on Carbimazole, My dosage changes on and off for a few months after each blood test (I lost weight in the beginning but have been gaining the weight back x2). I was referred by the doctor to the Endocrinology Clinic and was diagnosed with Grave Disease with Hyperthyroidism in March this year. I was given an option by the doctor to either continue with the medication that may take years to be 'normal' or go for the operation (Radioactive Iodine Treatment) that removes the thyroid gland permanently but will/might have to rely on medication for the rest of my life. Chose not to take the operation and decided to continue with being on Carbimazole. Still struggling with it due to constant weight gain and hair loss but is Staying Positive! 😁
Thank you So much! I have Graves' disease when I was 23 I took radioactive iodine because I didn't have someone like you to listen to. I'm going through this with my daughter. Thank you for your testimony.❤❤
The main problem with talking to your doctor first is that most of them say there’s nothing you can do except for taking medication. I am taking the pills, but I want to do something apart from that to help my body but all my doctors just roll their eyes and say I should trust them and shouldn’t do any research on my own.
I dont know if you did a video on your postpartum issues. I would love to hear your story and how you overcame it. Im 13 months postpartum and now dealing w the hyperthyroidism
Great comparison but you left out the best greens! I just dropped a video on it! ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-HLtXubEURTs.htmlsi=5K3liYlBJkg57WYf
This was so helpful :) can you make a video of your home school schedule and routine during the week, month and year especially with your little guy - thank you !!! 😊
Hi! I purchase the daily cards and in the middle of printing my printer messed up and now I have no way of finding my download to print the rest 😭 could I get the link sent again?
VERY useful information and resources!! I am homeschooling for 7 years but I found myself making tons of mental notes and clicking away as I plan for my 4 and 5 year olds. These are mostly things I had been considering but couldn't decide. Your flip throughs, detailed insight, experience, and tips have however helped clarify things. Both prek and K of The Gentle and Classical Press morning binders were in my cart. So were Level K of TGTB, Dash Into Learning. Now I can go ahead and grab those! I have also added Little School of Smiths Bundle to our list; my son will enjoy the space unit and I am personally excited about the Me on the Map unit! THANK you...new subscriber!
Hi.. I just wanna say thank you. Your videos really helpful for me as someone with grave diseases too. Actually I'm almost losing my hope to make family and having children due to my autoimmune, some country (like mine) really have bad thought about it socially. But what you said can encourage me to have better version on me again. I'm hopeful your family will always be happy and healthy in the future cuz you deserve it after the struggle that you through.
My antibodies just came back and align with Grave’s. Tomorrow is my endocrinologist appointment and I’m finding out for sure. Within a month I lost 15 lbs and so much muscle. I can’t even go up the stairs anymore. I have this prickly feeling on my skin that drives to tears, it was actually this symptom and my heart rate that alerted the doctor. Heart rate was around 124, with the beta blockers now it is low 90s. Really scarred because I’m allergic to iodine too, so I don’t even know if I can do the RAI.
I’m glad you’re doing well! I was tested for food sensitivities and eliminated those from my diet. I’ve been on a similar diet to yours for almost 2 years. Now my antibodies are below the threshold for autoimmune and I’m feeling great. More exercise is next on my list of healthy lifestyle changes. 💗
This was so very helpful! This will be our first time homeschooling. I would love to see a video on your schedule and how you log your record keeping. (If you do) Do you keep a binder for yourself?
We’re year 2 into homeschool for preschool for my 5 year old who just isn’t ready for kindergarten, and my 3 year old for starting to try to have more focused play learning. And this video is honestly so helpful. It’s really helping me understand and figure out curriculum and more ideas for learning and teaching.
Thank you to everyone who has watched my video, left a comment of encouragement or positive feedback and for sharing your own stories as well! I wish health and healing to everyone who watches this video and is on their own thyroid journey. For those looking for more information on thyroid education, labs and tests to order to help get to the root cause, nutrition, supplements and more for supporting thyroid health from a functional medicine and holistic perspective, I created a thyroid balance course which you can learn more about here: bit.ly/3qToUHN
I watched all the way thru! Thank you! I have 2 boys, same ages/grades starting in the fall and this will be my first year homeschooling both of them! This was very helpful as I have been going crazy I feel like tryin to decide what curriculum is best for them. If you have a daily schedule that you could share that would be amazing! Thanks so much!!
Thank you for sharing your story! You've given me a lot of hope... I had 3 kids without any struggle but I recently had a missed period. The pregnancy test keeps coming up negative so I think I have hyperthyroidism. I'm planning on seeing a naturopath to confirm that but I hope and pray I can have more children naturally.
Hi! There can be many reasons for a missed or late period, including stress! You are wise to meet with a naturopath though to work together to learn why! I recommend a full thyroid panel (not just TSH) including TSH, Free T3, Free T4, Reverse T3 and Thyroid Antibodies to get a full picture of your thyroid health :)
Can I just say your hair is STUNNING I’m trying to focus on the info but I keep checking your hair haha but joke aside thanks for a very informative video !
Thank you so much for sharing your story! I am on a very similar journey: diagnosed a few months ago, interested in pregnancy, wanted to try natural treatment solutions like bugleweed/lemon balm and changing my diet/lifestyle first. I actually found your video at the very start of my diagnosis, and I remember feeling so overwhelmed then. Now, five months later, my latest lab result showed my TSH, Free T4, TSI, TRAB levels all in range! I am trying to figure out how best to wean off of the bugleweed/lemon balm now. Can you share what your wean off schedule for bugleweed/lemon balm/motherwort was like? For example, did you stop taking it over the course of a month, or stop immediately when your levels were in range? Did you wait until your TSH was well within range before you stopped, or simply within the normal lab ranges? Also, did you continue to avoid any foods (like dairy, potatoes, tomatoes, soy, gluten, etc.) while you were pregnant? (Thank you in advance!)
