Inner Meet Me, oh you can't decide [x10] Last night I dreamt somebody fell asleep between my knees I couldn't help it that the facts were rejected by a boy called me Last night I dreamt somebody fell asleep between my knees I couldn't help it that the facts were rejected by a boy called me Last night I dreamt somebody fell asleep between my knees I couldn't help it that the facts were rejected by a boy called me She said to me Keep your head up Never show up Keep it all in Never dream alone Play on a star Moves too far Say what you feel Speak when you kneel Never dream alone Never dream alone If you were feeling that the light is on the ceiling then you can't see past your nose Cuz what you're seeing is the man underneath the beam she's a fool below low I never listen but the people they were christened I wonder who was the one A better placement for the basement when he's chasing Mrs. Mason when they're facing on the relation She said to me Keep your head up Never show up Keep it all in Never dream alone Play on a star Moves too far Say what you feel Speak when you kneel Never dream alone Never dream alone Last night I dreamt somebody fell asleep between my knees I couldn't help it that the facts were rejected by a boy called me Last night I dreamt somebody fell asleep between my knees I couldn't help it that the facts were rejected by a boy called me Last night I dreamt somebody fell asleep between my knees I couldn't help it that the facts were rejected by a boy called me She said to me Keep your head up Never show up Keep it all in Never dream alone Play on a star Moves too far Say what you feel Speak when you kneel Never dream alone Never dream alone Inner Meet Me, oh you can't decide [x19]
Catching Beta Band opening (along with Kid Koala) the Radiohead tour stop in Toronto, 2001 was like winning a lottery. Still completely adored in my household.
Read this in Rolling Stone waaaay back in the day, they did an interview with Page, came to this video and and saw all these cats commenting about the meaning of the song and what were the 'street crabs', I couldn't find the mag that had the damn interview in it(lost it in my collection of old magazines somewhere, shit it's been years!), found the quote online, the Internet is useful at times! “The ‘"street crabs’ were the guys who were selling the fake Rolexes. They’d be out on the street with their merchandise, and then there’d be one guy sitting on top of a mailbox or something, looking for cops. When a cop came by, he’d yell and they’d all roll up their blankets and run down the street. Being from a small town in Oregon and then settling in New York, I just thought it was a really interesting cultural thing. Like, "This is something I’ve never seen before!” - Page Hamilton
I was at this show! It was a stage dive fest. I’m trying to see if I could see myself stage dive. At the end of the set, I waited backstage and got an autograph with the band. Some dude holding a video camera told me he filmed the set. Did you film this and do you have the entire set? I filmed hundreds of punk and hardcore shows in Montreal from 97-05. Hundreds are already up on RU-vid. If you have the full set, I would like to see if it possible, much thanks in advance. My email: chicomak@hotmail.com
This was shot by a camera dude from MusiquePlus and he only filmed two songs. Both are on my channel. I worked there for a while and this is some of the best sounding footage I as able to find in that video library. (The physical library doesn't exist anymore, it's been digitized. Plus I don't work there anymore.) Sometimes they got sound from the soundboard and it was just unusable. This was captured only by the mic mounted on the camera and it's great.
I never really got it. My band was social friends with them, and we shared a practice space with them in the early 90s, which worked out great for us, because they were always touring. Still scratching my head.
Saw them several times, most memorably a year or so before this show at a place called The Showcase on the west side of San Antonio, Texas in Feb, 1994. Got my ever-loving white ass kicked all over that joint. Greatest night of my life!
first seen at about 4pm on MTV back in the 1990's - on a shedload of MDMA - so i thought i imagined the whole thing! then heard a little later on Chris Morris' legendary 'Blue Jam' and tracked down. god, they were wonderful at this point. steve mason is still making some cracking stuff too!
i've no idea what it's about. why does it have to be about anything? i'm not trying to be aggressive or obtuse, i just don't see why art always has to 'mean' things...
Helmet is so underrated for all of their hard work they put in to give the mind blowing music they do . The music of today sounds like the something. The music critic's don't give Helmet their good just due but the music critic's are all over the mainstream cermmercail
Yeah dude. The first day he started, I had them playing in the back room, because somebody had mentioned it and I wanted to see if it was true. Totally is true. He laughed about then we talked about the music industry for about 15 minutes. It's kind of funny to hear what he has to say about the mid 90's scene.
