Adrian Todo - Sorry for the late response. If I had to guess I’d say it’s the Cummins. I’ve only driven the medium duties a handful of times and they were always new so I didn’t look at the engine. The truck has a gvwr of 65K which is the upper limit for these trucks. Freightliner Rates it 20/46 but we’ll call it 65. I’ll find out

I have a major question I'm restoring a 74 f100 and it has a 289 in it with 302 heads and a mild cam and I can't figure out which muffler would give me the best sound I like the sound of 3 inch exhuast but I've heard some shit 10 series flow master exhuast with 3 inch exhuast and I've heard some gd 40 series mufflers with 3 inch exhuast wat do u guys think would sound best and not sound bad bc I've had a set of 10 series flow masters on a 302 and it sounded like a helicopter taking off and they weren't backwards

i have a 66 mustang with a 302 out of a 68 Ford, not sure what exactly. it is .030 over, has regular headers, an aluminum intake, torker 289 i believe, a 4bbl carb, only either a stock cam, or a mild, close to stock cam. id like to have the noticable lope on my car as well. did you need to modify you engine in anyway besides a cam and lifter set, to have the cam working well?
also picked up 2006 GT myself...added the Flowmaster 40 series SS embossed 4" tips(American Thunder--aggressive sounding..and added a Volant cold air intake.It improved response and sounds great...yhe mufflers were about $400 on JEGS.com and the Volant around $300
@AudiROCKS What is rally trippy is when you hear a gs400 v8 lexus and it has flowmasters, you start to look around and say "where the F did that muscle car sound come from" and its from the Japanese v8. What pisses me off are the people who think their honda is the shit. I drive a honda and I know it sucks for power, but serves its purpose right now.
@maxpower978 Mustang = Muscle Car... V6 is not a muscle car. :] Stick with the V8s, more power, better sound. I feel like the idea of a gas saving muscle car is just a bad idea.. as far as V6 goes, I'd rather get a 370Z, 332HP.. or a E46 M3 333HP. 4.0L V6 Mustang gets 210HP, with the same gas mileage as the 370Z. While the 370Z is .3L smaller, same gas mileage, and has 122HP more.
i just got a 86 that had been sitting in storage for 8 years.. had to put a new intake and carb on.. runs awesome.. motor and trans has less than 10K on it.. it came with the 289 factory first but it was swaped out.. :-D i added a video of it for ya..
