Would this work for buildings that are half mile apart? Total distance is 3/4 mile with a the house half mile from one and a quarter mile from the other
These are no longer sold due to parts shortages and prices but if you are genuinely interested I have enough stock to put one together. Cost would be $189. Let me know and I'll list one.
Hi. They are on eBay. Search "Telephone Exchange Intercom For Rotary Phones. There are a few models depending on what accessories you would like. I ship internationally. Thanks.
if only I knew about these back then and was into radio like I am now, I would have bought one. I have an AM stereo capable receiver, but no AM stereo station that I can pick up.
Terrible demo. You have not convinced me you have anything more than a cheap compressor with three band EQ. Where are the crossovers set between the lo and mid and mid and highs for example?
There are 6 compressors. 3 per channel. Each compressor is preceded by a low pass filter for bass left and right. Band pass filter for mid left and right and high pass filter for treble left and right. The EQ is actually volume controls for the output of each compressor. The point of the demo is to hear both the crossover frequencies and hear that bass frequencies don't turn the treble down etc. The fact that each compressor has its own release adjustment also shows you that it is 6 channel. This may not be the product for you as it sounds like you are expecting $5000 of optimod processing for less than $200. A more complete demo is available on Rumble, as youtube forced me to shorten the demo over copyright.
If you want to stay analog stereo this compressor is the bees knees for half the price of the schlockwood 200 which I have as well stereo tools completely makes c quam sound to digitally compressed cheers brother I have his C-Quam broadcast or which I've modified toogo from high compacitance from a wire to 5O or 75 ohms with coaxial out for a great antenna sort of like a range master with C-Quam getting 3 miles on a 40 ft mast with the unit in a weather box remotely controlled on a pole cheers mate great stuff
Those switching power supplies that was just plugged into the ac recepticle are Horrible, no filtering. A good chassis ground in a metal case helps. I constructed an old ramsey am25. I may purchase one of your c quam am transmitter when i get my money management under control. Im curious of the sound quality of am c quam.
They are here. There are 3 versions. If your phones already have rj45plugs fitted there is the basic version: www.ebay.com/itm/144802726421 If not you need the version with all the adapters: www.ebay.com/itm/134285090309 If you want the full version with included extension cables: www.ebay.com/itm/134297269195 If you want to save some money I also have a basic version for $129. It has some scratches on the back but is new. You can send an ebay message for details.
Aye . Used a old mini master system back in 80's. Served very well. 2 exchange lines. And 10 extensions. Numbered 20 to 29. . No 1 used to put call on hold and transfer . Worked trouble free for many years . 9 for outside line. Or dial for specific line. 31 for line 1. And 32 for line 2. Was in use for over 25 years with dial phones. 706 and a couple of trim phones. .
They are popular. They usually sell within days of building. I have one left here: www.ebay.com/itm/144663898869 Or if you want one with some extension cables included: www.ebay.com/itm/144684801306
I love it. I'm going to have to get one of these from you. I've been experimenting with old phones a lot lately and this is exactly somthing I was trying to find somewhere. Looks absolutely brilliant
Great device. How many phones can dial at one time? Just one? What happens on disconnect? Does the exchange provide a CPC (disconnect signal where the talk battery is dropped momentarily) when one party hangs up? Does the exchange return dial tone to the originating phone when the called party hangs up?
Hi. Only one phone can be dialed at any one time. There is also a number you can dial to make all phones ring one after the other. Both phones on the call need to hang up to reset the system. You will then get the dial tone and be ready to make a call.
WOW fabulous stereo. A lot of separation.. How does the loudness compare to a mono AM station? I see this is a very old video. Are you still selling this transmitter? How much RF output.
This transmitter has been completely redesigned with digital pll tuning for rock solid stability. Loudness is a little quieter than standard AM. This helps with stereo separation and distortion as the transmitter is built mostly for sound quality. Power is 100mW. It can be internally set to 500mW for export use.
Will this system work with existing cables already installed in the walls of the house? We don't have a land line so we aren't tied to a TSP. We'd rather not run new cables. I'll definitely purchase your device if we don't need to run new cabling. Thanks in advance! We'll done!
Hi. Provided you have disconnected the wiring from the phone service it will work. The amount of lines you can use depends on how many wires are in the cable. 4 wires will give you 3 lines. 6 wires will give you 5. When you order message me and I'll include the extra things you need and instructions free of charge.
Hi any plans on releasing the gerbers and code to replicate a setup? I'm a student currently studying electrical engineering and this is a project I want to build myself.
