@@metaldetecting2077 he found a merc and said 14 or 15. I’m happy for ya some amazing finds and am a little jealous sorry to criticize the 1916d is the key date we all want and know it’s a first year. This is me busting your chops. Anyone would be lucky to find such coins at a beach.
I crossed a bridge earlier this year in the North Woods, that scared me enough to stop at any bridge I am not sure of going forward. The bridge was so bad, the front right tire of my truck busted through the road deck.
@@metaldetecting2077 I agree! Drive miles or so down a road to find out it’s got a tree across it, the road is washed out or a damn gate.. to just have to turn around. I think of it as above ground spelunking 🤣
standing liberty quarters started in 1916, just like mercs. Your dates were a little off when you said you found some dated around the turn of the century. The 1916 Bare breast SLQ is a key date along with the 1916 D Mercury dime, aka winged liberty dime. Both are worth hundreds. Good luck, and great video.
unthawed is a Maine thing... how do you do it ??? i have heard people here in Maine saying this word...unthawed.... do you reverse thaw to a frozen state..unthawed is frozen....
@phillipbingham487 I know what you are saying. When I was editing and reviewing the video, I heard myself saying that said "only in Maine" I am glad you watched the video and hopefully brought you a chuckle.
Oh man what a day! Reminds me of the winter we had in Southern Maine! We have 9 or 10 videos all from the same beach digging silvers every day from January through March! Welcome back guys, happy to see the new content today! Congrats on all that silver!
@@metaldetecting2077 nice I’m on the Ct river and the finds are endless my friends wife just found a super rare 8” long spear head was offered a bunch for it so coo the stuff we find one spot was a old yacht club and it was never detected I found over 100 silver coins Spanish 1/2 dollars barbers seated even a pine tree shilling 1652! The most incredible spot I’ve ever hunted coins literally under and between the rocks!
did that yahoo actually just ask if the SLQ was silver?!?!?!? and did you actually think the merc in the beginning was from 1912 or 1915?!?!?!?.....REALLY!??!?!?!
@davemiller8215 I leave my videos mostly unedited and of course we may be wrong with our dates on when coins are produced. It is always going to be a learning curve and we are good with that.
So where did all these coins and rings come from? Did people in the early 1900's have a lot of holes in their pockets? And were there a lot of people there at that time? Are there still a lot of people there? So many questions
The beach area itself has been used since the late 1800's and there used to be a hotel and outside roller rink near by the beach. Old photos show the area that we are digging used to be woods but the wind and waters moved around coins
