Looks like I need to transition from buying discs to buying some stuff to start dying my inventory. Would like to hang them up on my wall and have a few glows between them. Hoping to get the u.v stuff figured out. This looks to be plenty satisfactory though so I'll likely be trying to match what you've got going here. Great job.
I don’t get why all who dyes discs always use all kinds of colours, for this disc for example, wouldn’t look good to just use blues and greens? With that said, the disc looks great.
Do you have the exact colors you used for that? I have the DiscDye starter kit and it looks to have similar colors to what you used, but I just wanted to check. Amazing Dye!
How permanent is this? Curious if this method can be used to just mark them with my info instead of sharpie as I have unfortunately recently run into someone using one of my lost discs that they just scrubbed my sharpie marks off of.
Do you sealed these with something? I feel like your last shots of each disc shows them being super shiny and it makes me feel like maybe you added a gloss coat at the end maybe??
So if he's using pro chem dye it's 1/2 tsp dye to 1 tsp hot water to 4 0z of floetrol. Looks like he's using pre-made 16oz bottles instead of having to mix fresh everytime.
My question is regarding the yellow you are using. It is so pale in the video. I have used Bright Yellow mixed with Lemon Zest and Dandelion on its own. I have several other yellows, but nothing looks like this. Hints? Oh, I think I answered my own question. The only yellow I do not have is Sun Yellow, and I think that is a pale yellow. Alas.
