Who tf says "this is not ai generated" Bruh.... you think ai is legit to the pint we can't tell.... maybe because of your googly eyes but none of us are that thick....
Nice V...my Caprice didnt have they side runners on it when i bought it, prob due to diffrent rigging etc...but sweet job...ill be sending you a video soon about some small jobs on mine and the DIFFERENT windows coming in, back to perspex not going glass anymore! 😢😂
Thanks same, I still got some water coming in through the some old nut and bolt holes, but while is warm I had to work with epoxy to speed up curing time.
Nice. Your editing is getting good! Just a note: it's recommended to fully mix the resin and hardener together for at least a full minute before adding any filler.
I can see you sailing the world in this beauty. I'm currently in the same position as you by following in the footsteps as the legend Robert Tucker. Keep it up my friend. We can do this 💪 ⛵️⚓️
Delighted to discover your project. I built a Caprice Mk 111 C524 in 1969 from a Southerly Marine kit. I sailed "Capriole" for 30 years in North Irish waters from Lough Swilly to Strangford Lough.
might be a good idea to put a hole in the bulkhead on the starboard side, and make a closet in it with a stove on the rails, so you can put it out when you don't need it, same goes for the sink
Hey V...nice 1 ❤...i bet that feels good now...id obvs make LARGE seat hatch doors unlike my small ones...way better for access etc...store bigger things too if needed, utilise the space etc...but yea was looking at the boat near the end there n got thinking...she will look sweet when coated with a nice new ENAMEL white paint coat...obvs the best type of paint to use id say...mine was re painted in enamel...ill prob re coat it next year once its out the water etc...but good job, keep it up! 👊
Yes it is feels more complete:)) need fibreglass everywhere now and then painting, I will use plastic hatches as is easier to install and be waterproof is well
Yes I have several photos from the early 1970s showing Capriole on different points of sailing. I always used a retractable long shaft outboard for simplicity, ease of maintenance and integrity of the hull. The fuel tank was stored in the stern deck hatch. Although the kit included a reinforced cabin top to take the load of the deck mounted mast I constructed a removable internal support for good measure. How can I send the photos to you?
Nice V 👊...just an observation...it looks like your space inbetween your walkway panels you added etc are just too wide...compared to mine...my walkway space has aprox 3-4inches MORE walkway space?...maybe if not too much work maybe sand the edges of the wood away a little on both panels just to give you that little 3-4inch extra walkway space etc?...are the edges of your panels matching any marks on the ground from the original boards that were there etc?...just to make sure your boards are as close to the ones that were there...obvs you can still keep as is if you find the walkway space to be ok etc...but yea just an observation that i have that TINY aprox 3-4inch more walkway space etc! 😉
V...be sure to seal the screws that come inside the boat that are attached to the wood that run along the sides of the boat on the outside!...inside the shelf area youll see them coming through...on mine they do and are still sharp edged! 👊...it might be worth doing to completly make sure theres no water coming in from them too! 😉
