Delighted to discover your project. I built a Caprice Mk 111 C524 in 1969 from a Southerly Marine kit. I sailed "Capriole" for 30 years in North Irish waters from Lough Swilly to Strangford Lough.

Interesting do you have any pictures? How about outboard or you have inboard?

Hey V...nice 1 ❤...i bet that feels good now...id obvs make LARGE seat hatch doors unlike my small ones...way better for access etc...store bigger things too if needed, utilise the space etc...but yea was looking at the boat near the end there n got thinking...she will look sweet when coated with a nice new ENAMEL white paint coat...obvs the best type of paint to use id say...mine was re painted in enamel...ill prob re coat it next year once its out the water etc...but good job, keep it up! 👊

Yes I have several photos from the early 1970s showing Capriole on different points of sailing. I always used a retractable long shaft outboard for simplicity, ease of maintenance and integrity of the hull. The fuel tank was stored in the stern deck hatch. Although the kit included a reinforced cabin top to take the load of the deck mounted mast I constructed a removable internal support for good measure. How can I send the photos to you?

Can you add me back n facebook? My name is Vykintas Simutis, I thinking to add mast step to support mast and reinforce deck. Thanks Vykintas
