I got it at age 31, grade 3, surgeon says the tip might be even grade 4 but he couldn't reach that deep. Best part is that i'm sentenced to spend the rest of my life doing horrible things to my body just to prolong the suffering

My daughter has a Neuro-endocrine small cell carcinoma, it i in the mid with some major arteries near, it was 4-5cm and considered inoperable, it also has gone to 2 lymph nodes in her arm pits, radiation was not an option, so she went through 4 series of chemo with no avail, and is now getting hormomal type injections. Now she works for Kaiser and is having a hard time getting a second opinion outside of Kaiser, is there something that can be done otherwise, we are almost at our wits end and could really need some help.

Hi my husband is having left front lobe low grade glioma favouring adult diffuse astrocytoma CNS grade 1 . Docter detected his tumor when he had a 3 rd seizure . They have done a biopsy and he is on active wait and watch process .. we have done with 2 MRI in year and there is no change in size as of now . What will the survival rate

What type of ependymoma did you have? I have a High Grade 3 Anaplastic Ependymoma. I'm 56 years old and it's located in my left frontal lobe. I've had a resection surgery and I have been told by my Doctors that it has not spread to my spinal cord.

The goal of photoimmunotherapy is to kill cancer cells and a patient’s body is able to break down and remove dead cells without causing harm to the body. Not a word on Sarcomas. I have leiomyosarcoma in my left ankle. A 3.1 centimeter tumor below the ankle bone and heel. Only one percent out of all cancers diagnosed around the world is,a sarcoma. 😢

Is it not an issue that cancer cells spill their necrotic content into the bloodstream? When surgeons operate to remove a tumor they always want a margin of healthy tissue and say stuff like "we think we got it all". Isnt bursting a cell just a form of metastasis?
It is understandable to be concerned about necrotic cells entering the bloodstream. When the damaged cells die, they are broken down and removed by the body. When a cell is damaged by the process of near-infrared photoimmunotherapy, it dies and loses the ability to spread and grow in other parts of the body. To your second question, the chance that surgery will cause cancer to spread to other parts of the body is extremely low. Depends on the GK ratio (glucose ketone) ratio. GK ratio needs to be 2 or lower (vs the normal 50ish) to be able to fight cancer. Professor/ Doctor Thomas Seyfried (Ex Yale and current Boston College researcher) has a good number of videos on this
