@@InTheYard I purchased a 1290 Adventure a few weeks after but I only put 200Km on it and decided to sell it. It had nothing to do with the bike, I just wanted to ride dirt bikes with my kid and couldn't justify another bike purchase. So I compromised. I sold the 1290 and purchased a 690. Now I can ride dirt tracks with my kid and still go on a longer, solo ride here and there.

That was a beautiful journey, to bad you just had to ride through Newfoundland and not explore it. That’s one place I haven’t done yet. It was sad to see just right before the end of your journey to get into an accident. Thankfully you were okay with no injuries and made it home safe.

Not at all, there is nothing on the Billy Diamond Highway so camping off the highway is possible, just make sure you’re not on someone’s hunting camp. There are also a few, marked camping spots along the way. you can refer to Jamesbayhighway.com for the campsites spots. The one on the Rupert River is very nice but there are other ones as well.
