This ride has been on my bucket list for a long while as well. I attempted it a few years back on my 690 Enduro but ultimately gave up around St. Simeon due to the weather. It’s not a difficult ride as there is plenty of traffic on this road to help you if you get stuck. The distances are the only overwhelming idea you’ll have to overcome. I only did it solo cause no one wanted to come with… I definitely would have preferred to have a buddy in the evenings by the fire. Lol.

Thank you so much for watching. I’m still working on the last video. I keep telling everyone it’s coming soon but my motivation is loosing momentum. It’s about 90% completed… I think my Trans Taiga video is my best work. Check that one out. Bike break downs, a crash, beers and fun, it’s all in there! Enjoy!

@@Peeohtrek yeah, we’re planning on getting to North West River & Cartwright as we go through. If I have to rush anywhere I hope it’s after we cross the boat to Newfoundland because I’m more likely to go back to Newfoundland on another trip. I don’t expect to do Labrador a second time.

Always been on a Harley, saw your earlier videos and said damn!!!! I am missing to much. Bought a Yamaha Super Tenere and have never looked back. Have done the James Bay Hwy twice. The North Road, the Trans Taiga and the Labrador. Thanks for getting me off that pavement sofa. Looking forward to your next video!!
@Peeohtrek
@Peeohtrek Год назад
Thanks so much! I hope you kept the Harley as a weekend runner! Those bikes are awesome but unfortunately not the best at riding on gravel! But there is that new Panamerica which can have you riding far as well…. Either way thanks for watching and I’m jealous of your North Road trip! I haven’t done that yet! Next summer I’m thinking of riding up to Tuk on the Arctic Ocean, but we will see. Cheers!

Great Adventure Video Piotr! I never realized how beautiful Quebec is just East of Montreal. (I've never been that far before). Wish it was Spring time now. Would've hopped in my car and driven to Saguenay River. Great camera work buddy. Love this channel, and much love to you and the family, from your old college, Armenian pal, Bart.

@Peeohtrek Год назад
Bart! Thanks for watching! I haven’t heard from you in a while, I hope all is well. I’m still in the anim industry but it seems many guys our age are leaving for greener pastures. Yeah, Quebec is so pretty past QC city! I’m thinking of going up to Saguenay with the fam in the summer just to explore. These bike trips are always a race and I never explore the beautiful spots like they deserve to be explored.

This brings back memories...most people who travel to Quebec from Ontario don't go past Montreal...very few go to Quebec City...hardly anyone goes farther and the reality is the further you go the more beautiful it is. Makes me miss my 2019 trip around the gaspe peninsula and into PEI. Gotta do it again. Awesome trip and look forward to the series and adventures on your new bike sir.

Thanks so much! Yes, 100%! I had very similar comments from non riding friends. They were all shocked at how awesome QC is beyond Montreal. But I also had those comments in the past about northwest Ontario! There are tons of wicked places! I guess the point is: go out and explore! Lol. Cheers!

@@Peeohtrek No kidding about Northern Ontario...probably the nicest coast line is Lake Superior ...what a gem...some of the nicest blue water sandy beaches I've ever seen...some nicer then salt water ive been too. Now that Chisasibi trip you did has me intrigued...just I hear ur pretty much guaranteed to get ur truck broken into if u park up for the night at the hotel. Solutions? Park at the police station? Park in Radisson? Stealth camp/park...drive into see the bay and drive out?

The wallet freak out is an common occurrence on my rides… Phone freak outs as well. 389 was definitely the start of the fun stuff. It felt weird leaving Baie-Comeau and Riding into the unknown. LOL. But within a few moments you forget about the nerves and you’re enjoying the road.

Great videos. I watched the Trans Taïga videos over and over last year, and ended up doing it during the summer with two buddies. A ride I will always remember. Your videos are inspiring and loaded with useful information. We plan the Trans Lab for 2023. Too bad there isn't much gravel left. Can't wait to see your next video(s). I need to put mine together this winter!
@Peeohtrek
@Peeohtrek Год назад
The Lab is paved but there is still about a 100km of gravel near Fairmont… I was actually happy with the limited gravel as I travelled solo. Having to change tires alone would be difficult. I’m glad you enjoyed the content, more is coming (slowly) and part 2 has been started on already!

How difficult do you think it would be to Hono camp to Radisson Quebec? My son and I age thing about going this summer
@Peeohtrek
@Peeohtrek 2 месяца назад
Not at all, there is nothing on the Billy Diamond Highway so camping off the highway is possible, just make sure you’re not on someone’s hunting camp. There are also a few, marked camping spots along the way. you can refer to Jamesbayhighway.com for the campsites spots. The one on the Rupert River is very nice but there are other ones as well. There is usually a boat launch spot and some fire pits.
