In this channel, I'm going to go through my trial and error process to become self-sufficient, and independent through starting my own service business.
I have worked for companies in the past, stuck in the rat race, and not making enough money to have the freedom that I want and need. I have promised myself too many times that I am going to do this, and have fallen short. This is something I have wanted for a long time, and this is going to be the time that I push with everything I have. This channel will keep me accountable.
I am starting my journey to own my own cleaning business as CleaningPhD. I specialize in Window Cleaning, House Washing, Pressure Washing, and occasionally gutter cleaning. I'm going to put out real talk, the steps that I am taking to get this thing rolling, tutorials, and updates on how things are going day by day, week by week.
This is it, the time is now. If you have ever dreamed of starting your own company, join me, and let's do this! :)
Passing out flyers? This guy is a nube. My team started beginning of june, 5 of us, we’ve cleaned $63,000 in jobs already …. We do pressure washing too but windows alone we did $40k.
Looking good bro. To me I pre wash both windows all at once before I scrub them with a brush. I do the same thing rinsing them. That way you can avoid the dirt splash to the first clean windows from a second window. Clean both windows at once.
Great information the wfp they're damaged the wood after few years on houses please don't use wfp on houses !!! Window cleaners don't use wfp on houses. Thanks for the video.
If you dont do the top surely over the months they will get dirty especcially on residential ? I have that mop if you swivel it to the side when you apply the water on the top edge then it doesn't leave the bead of water that then causes issue when you squeegee off.
Wipe the edges before you squeegee that way you don't need to touch the glass after squeeging the glass. Soap amount depends on the situation, cloth doesn't dry aswell if loads of soap on it. So fine to use loads of soap in that situation but if internal or an entrance to a building your are better using less soap as it will be easier and faster to clean up after yourself.
@SteveOthewindowcleaner Steveo's a good dude he set me up with my first system. I share your issue with oxidation, and I learned the hard way. It ate a substantial portion of my profits on a large job. The water fed pole definitely has its place, but it has some significant drawbacks. I too, will do a video on this soon, both pros and cons. I feel a common misconception is the time saving element. Unless you are doing 2nd level and above, this is simply not true.
I’m in Kansas, just starting out and found your channel, curious where you’re at? We get around 195-250 tds here maybe 300 if it’s really bad (where I am anyway). Love the videos!
I agree with you I love using traditional when I can however if it is paned windows I’m gonna at least attempt water fed sometimes the oxidation tho is just so bad that even scrubbing the frames and rinsing just takes sooo long or doesn’t even work because if how bad it is in my experience
You are right about everything ... me personally it is better with a bucket of fresh water.. wash the washer out and bring more water onto the glass.. by dunking in it in with the pole IMO.... but good voice . intelligent voice and demeanor ,,, You can handle that pole excellently... It all depends on the price how i clean....
Unless you had somebody feeding it down to you from the roof. I just don't see that being time efficient. Seeing how the other person has communicate, move to another room or apartment or floor. It's a good thought for homeowner if they can keep themselves from falling out the window lol
@@cleaningphd6453 thanks so much! Already placed my order. Thank you for the reply and thanks for the videos you’re putting out. I appreciate you passing on the hints, tips and tricks of the trade. Your content is really helpful to me just starting out in the business. I “accidentally “ acquired a contract at a dealership in my town….the whole dang place is windows and I had to learn quick how to use a squeegee properly lol. You are literally saving my bacon and helping me to get faster with better technique.
