@@cazcoles I am so grateful that you find my videos informative! Music to my ears 🤍 Good question , I would personally recommend that you buy a tester batch of each to help your decision making process! I actually work with both, the S41 has an incredible hot throw works well with TB wicks , Cl wicks and Stabilo wicks and the same with RCX wax. The RCX wax I prefer with my essential oil candles it holds very well and I get the hot throw I am after. The downfall that I have been getting with S41 is the rough surfaces it leaves pre and post burn so I am going to start mixing it with Kerasoy to help give it the smooth finish xo

I did order a tester of each yesterday so will do some testing but like you, I’m not sure I will like the rough tops so will need to mix to obtain a smoother finish. Do you think mixing it with another parasoy blend would be ok? This particular blend gives and amazing top but not so good of a hot throw so thinking the two might work. X
@@cazcoles Good question , I have been working withe S41 for the last fews months and I found the S41 leaves a very rough finish so I think I may start incorporating the Kera Soy to help support the s41 give me a smooth finish pre and post burn x A long winded answer but I think I will be mixing a bit of both

Hi Mawaheb, just a quick question. Do you weigh your essential oils in the beakers because they're too light for the scale to weigh? I've never made an EO candle yet but have lots of lovely oils from Cosy Owl. I tried to measure them on the scale, but they were too light and didn't register any weight reading. 😢😂. Just wondered if you had any tips because I'd love to try them in my little Amber jars x
@@louisegoudie Hi pretty, good question! So, with EO I measure in ml rather than grams and the reason why is because as you say the measuring scale doesn’t read the weight lol so for example - my 150ml amber jar my calculations would be ( 143g Wax + 7ml worth of EO = 150g ) I use 5% EO because I use 100% EO but I don’t recommend that you go higher than 6% with EO! The bottles come in a dropper right?x
I like the process of making candles, I think everybody does it differently. I like how you take the detailed notes for each candle and I've just done that with the last candle i;ve made... I've made six in total... the fifth one I made was the first one to burn decently. its harder than you think !!

I would love to get into pillar candles more which I think I will have even more fun with it but it’s just as complicated as container candles! I should take it one step at a time haha. I completely agree we all have our unique way of making and testing candles which is why all our results are different x Have fun burning and testing your candles , I am sure it smells incredible and it definitely is harder and can be frustrating xo
Thanks for the video. I'm looking forward to hearing your thoughts on the candles. I've tested their frangrance oils and even though they smell good out of the bottle, when cured in the wax, the scent is muted/softer😢😢😢

@@mawahebhome I used the S41+ CS wax, 50% each and the hot throw was disappointing. Cold throw was good 👍. I added FO at 45 degrees, basically an average FO addition temperature for both wax types. Maybe its the combo that reduced the efficacy of the HT but I was hoping for more. Perhaps it'll work better for S41 only but i havent tested so im looking forward to your thoughts. Can you also pls show what the tops of your candles look like? Hope this helps. Love your videos🥰
@@passioncommit8575 I am so grateful that you enjoy my videos 🤍🩷 Ofcourse I will show my tops in this weeks video ( aiming to post on Sunday) I did use RCX wax this time round but S41 wax I have been needing to heat gun a few of my candles it leaves rough tops. I was thinking to blend it with Kerasoy so it reduces the rough tops and S41 sweats so much during hot temperatures haha! Maybe try testing without the mixture of CS wax and see how that goes! I am sure you will find a way , its lots of trail and error!

Have you tried Peony Petals or Red Roses from Cozy Owl? To me they smell so real! It reminds me of when its been raining and you smell the real flowers. I love it! Just ordered a 50ml bottle of both to test more with but i tried a 20cl candle for both and it was so strong! Definitely recommended! Xxx

@@DinaHelmy Hi Dina , I hope that you are well. Good question , I personally didn’t move forward with these waxes. I currently work with RCX wax and S41 Wax that are both natural and are working well with me so far. The reason why I stopped working with London Luxury Supply waxes because it leaves a really rough surface when burning and I found wicking them was a little difficult. However, from memory I can remember enjoying the pure soy the most but again I haven’t tested them in a very long time so your own testing is crucial to see what you like and dislike x
@@HeavenlyDiva You just need to multiply, for example if you are using a 100ml diffuser bottle - You would use 80ml diffuser base and 20ml fragrance. So your calculations would be 80 x 6 = 480ml of diffuser base and for the fragrance it would be 20 x 6 = 120ml fragrance. Hope this helps.
@@Lala-kd8kd Hey , I cured them for 7/8 days, 3 days to 7 days is more than enough curing! I think 14 days is a little too much and it’s a waste of time personally but I know some candle makers prefer to test their candles at 3, 7 and 14 days x
@@mawahebhome I’ve tested mine after 4 days. 4 candles and no HT at all. S41 wax. Wick is different for all 4, the flame is beautiful and the meltpool too. Tested Coffee Mocha (10%), Sandalwood Mandarin (9%), Pina Colada (10%) and Lavender Patchouli (8%). Absolutely 0 HT. Idk what I did wrong. I know I could try different % but to me it’s weird that I’d get no HT at all rn. So frustrating 😒

Hello Mawaheb, First of all, we share the same birthday-high five! I followed your recommendation and ordered a sample of the cucumber melon fragrance by Cosy. I can’t wait to test it out! Regarding curing candles, I’ve noticed that storing them in a box during the curing process helps maintain their scent. When left out in the air, my soy candles lose their cold throw within a few days. I am using the Para-Soy blend by LiveMoor. Your thoughts? x

@@mawahebhome Hey lovely... so far I’ve only used the Para-soy wax for containers (They also offer a pillar one). While it lacks the creamy white appearance of pure soy wax, it’s less soft and sticky, which I like. Still nice white shade though. No refilling needed either. I’m eagerly awaiting the results as it cures. If using glass, not so much frosting either, which is great. K.x

Sorry if I missed it, and I know I will have to test it for myself, but it's so nice seeing video material, Which TB wick size was best? I wonder which one looked best after the 4 hours, and I would say TB14, but I suppose TB12 will catch up eventually, so which one would you actually go for?

Thank you for being yourself and sharing your experiences! Learning and maintaining good habits is quite the challenge for me too. I can sometimes focus too much on one thing, that I forget maintaining the other good habits. I also struggle with OCD, which takes a lot of energy and time. This makes it often hard to work on other things I would like to better myself at. Keep doing what you love and believe in and... you are enough!
Thank you for your constant support and kind words I appreciate you! Maintaining good habits is difficult and requires alot of pushing on our end honestly! Growth and progress is difficult especially in our human nature we are wired to be comfortable and safe and when we do something different that our minds/bodies are not used to there is resistance , it’s almost like our bodies are telling us this is danger and we need to go back to our safety net which why it is so difficult to maintain something new that requires growth. Are there ways that you practice to manage your OCD or have it work in your favour? I know a few friends with OCD and they have excellent attention to detail but they are also perfectionists which is not a bad thing but I also find it in me where I won’t start anything until it’s perfect but perfection doesn’t exist so I never start. Keep doing what you also love and believe in , you are beautiful, worthy and enough!
@@mawahebhome I am in therapy for my OCD. It has benefits as you said for things like attention to detail, but the cost is too much and not worth it. When I care more about my candles than my health, something is wrong. You said; "I won't start anything when it's not perfect", this is also a problem I struggle with. I will keep fighting to get my OCD under control. Thank you for being open about this topic! Keep creating!

Mawaheb so glad you’re ditching Kerasoy container blend, it’s a terrible wax for wicking, unless you are making really small candles. You’ve definitely made the right choice by taking this wax out of the line up - this is a really positive step forward!

I remember you tried kerax 4135 from livemoor in the past too and there you used TCR wick, 24/14 and worked well. Have you tried kerax coconut with essential oils?
Very relatable video! Thank you for not only talking about candle making, but also for sharing your struggles and mentioning your mental health! I would even say that sometimes candle making can be more frustrating than fun especially when you want everything to be perfect (I'm in the same boat). Im trying to learn that failing means you have the opportunity to learn. I'm also trying to listen to people around me if they like my candles or not because my own opinion is always way more negative compared to what they tell me. It's gives me a more realistic view about my candles. Keep going and do what you believe in!

Cool video, I like watching your other candle videos testing wax, helps give me pointers when trying new ones. I'm always on the quest to find to find the best wax and as a candle maker I'm never quite happy enough with my product. It is extremely difficult to find a wax that works but I know we both will find it! I think it could be the perfectionist side of us that we are never happy or waiting till we are ready for the final perfect product but we can honestly launch with a safe candle and improve as we go 🤍

Good to have you back on the tube! We all have periods when the negative self talk, procrastination and drops in positivity creep in, but it's important to remember that not every week is going to be perfect, and thats totally okay. Perfection is the enemy of progress. Keep your head up, keep showing up and you'll be locked in again in no time. One thing that helps me is catching any negative self talk in the moment and addressing it, helps break the chain!! Sending love & positivity! <3

i think im using this kerax, they dont disclose manufacturer where i bought, i think ill try the low temp, im doing high temp and not having good ct and ht.
I use a27 and don’t have any problems at all. I love it. I use craftovator oils mainly but the m12 is my perfect container wax. I have used a27 in all types and for pillars and melts it’s 100% the best wax . Like I said I have used for containers too and find it amazing and hot and cold throw is fabulous.
