Nice review. My wife and I will be taking that exact flight from Houston to Frankfurt on our way to Rome. We are also on the second deck. You ordered the exact meal I had selected when you showed the menu. Now I know what to expect.
The food was not any better than Delta - maybe the cheese. The new A350 first row is very nice , row 10 center seats are just the same as any other seat. But the seats in row 10 are too close to the galley and restrooms. Eat in the lounges.
AF Business food is mediocre. I think economy is better. Seat though nice. Entrtetainment limited. Crew nice but seemed stressed. CDG and Amsterdam are terrible airports. So is Frankfurt. The bread they serve is like rubber. However with 2 connections we got our bags. Impressive!!
Thank you for not doing a text review with a bunch of horrible music. Pretty good review. Keep up the personal anecdotes rather than the "reading a script" style. You have a formula that should work. When you're able buy a better microphone. 8/10 subbed
I must say I disagree with you with all respect. The comparison to UAL is not the same. AF's cabin is more clean and crisp looking. More modern looking. Better service.
Very good review. Etihad business class is wonderful - comfortable, stylish, great food. I've not flown First on the A380 but it is even more amazing. Weirdly I quite like one or two other people in a cabin. At least at the bar there were people from Business class.
They are very strict about that. I had to get all sorts of permission and sign a form just to get a tour of it. But glad the crew at least gave me a tour and I got to stand and sit in it for a few minutes!!!
I agree with you that Singapore Airlines has a good reputation but personally I am certainly confused as to why. In-air service is as good as United or Cathay Pacific or other airlines, but in terms of on-ground experiences they are certainly at the back of the pack. Website, telephone support (the Indian call center did not speak adequate English to help the American-based caller and had no information other than up-selling insurance), and especially the website are all lacking. Truly a second rate airline. I can only guess that they pay review sites to bump up their reputation. And I would have to agree with HengryGoh down below; MH Satay is so much better.
Worst airline.....read the fine print, no date changes allowed unless full business flex.......my friend passed away unexpectedly in an accident and I needed to move my flight to attend the funeral, this was not possible, not even a flight credit......lost two tickets at $28k HKD. The airline lacks any empathy and has a terrible customer experience.

Can I ask you if there is an airside international transit at Delhi Airport? I have two separate bookings both international, and about 4 hours of transit time in-between. While I do already have the India 1-year tourist visa, I wonder if you saw an easier option of transiting without having to go through passport control? Thanks!
There is an international airside transit option at DEL, however, you oughta have your connecting flight and your bag checked-in through to the final destination. If you have separate bookings, its likely you'll need to collect your bag (after going through immigration), and check-in again. Bit of a hassle I can imagine, however, 4 hours transit time is more than enough at DEL.
