Join me on a product that I am very torn about - I love Singapore Airlines and their service. Does chicken satay, peanut sauce, and delicious cocktails cancel out a subpar business class seat?
I agree with you that Singapore Airlines has a good reputation but personally I am certainly confused as to why. In-air service is as good as United or Cathay Pacific or other airlines, but in terms of on-ground experiences they are certainly at the back of the pack. Website, telephone support (the Indian call center did not speak adequate English to help the American-based caller and had no information other than up-selling insurance), and especially the website are all lacking. Truly a second rate airline. I can only guess that they pay review sites to bump up their reputation. And I would have to agree with HengryGoh down below; MH Satay is so much better.
