I hope you enjoy watching my videos as much as i enjoy making them. Please like and subscribe and hit that bell button to see more videos as they come. Cheers
12:40 ... damn nice work there matey!! You've a steadier hand than me, lol. Good to see ya too fella, even if it is just on youtube .... don't think I've seen you in person since back in the day down at Vic's place at Long Rock. Looks like yer keeping well 😉
Blimey!!! Yeah i think the last time we spoke you were in the video shop!! Suprising who watches my videos and you never know! I see you have a channel i'll sub to that, hope your well mate👍
Ah thankyou for your nice comment, yes diving back into the archive its been a while since this video, i quite like doing mini movies like this one, always looking forward to doing more when i can, maybe this summer coming i'll be able to get the troops together!
Awesome rc trucks and super location. Thank you very much, an excellent archive dive! Like added for good measure, great shots, from 5.20 onwards all of the trucks through the heath 👍😊
Great work Adam. Wonderful to get these old girls running again. Brought my first FJ brand new in 84 and absolutely loved it. I was actually in the dealer to test ride an FZ750 but it was out at the time so he said take this while your waiting. I fell in love straight away
Adam! Great to see you dude! The clock is ticking for both of us now! I've a long way to go yet but hope to have the partsbin slabby running in the near future. I'm just hoping that B12 motor I got is OK or I'm fucked! Things are moving along slowly but surely here. Building a bike from the ground up isn't easy neither. Anyway, thanks for the honourable mention and we'll both just have to keep the head down mate! See ya in October
I had Chinese race levers on an old CBR, I think they were adjustable and folding. I did track days with them and never had a problem. Think they cost me about £15 for the pair!!! Bit cheaper than Pazzo levers!! 😂😂
Hi Graham, yes i'm ok thankyou for asking, had a big case of life stuff going on preventing me from putting out any decent videos for quite some time, but, i am nearly ready to get cracking on the slabby some more with views to get it looking as good as posible for a bike show in october this year! Its literaly been put back on the ramp this last week or so and i'll be dusting off the cameras and hopefully giving a little run down on things that have happened and things that are going to happen this year😎
This was caused because the fuel pump was outside of the fuel when the bike tipped upside down which resulted in either very lean or no fuel whatsoever. Running lean can cause dieseling in a hot cylinder and even worse since the bike is tpi it still got oil pumping into the engine which can diesel all on its own without tbe gasoline.
True it suffered a massive lean off, but its a carb model and no fuel pump either, hot spot or sparkplug acting like a glowplug i reckon and must have been drawing fuel from somewhere maybe with the rpm sucking it through the system somehow!
@@sub9sec strange. maybe the upside down carb was delivering a very small amount of fuel continuously so that it would run lean and the carb bowl would last a little bit before running out.
Hi, please help me out!!! So you put the rear servo wire in channel 3? And the front servo in channel 1?? And after the controller works with the crawler option?
Yes rear servo connected to channel 3 and front servo in channel 1, , and your ESC in channel 2. With the crawl modes now you should be able to access the different steering modes. Is it working for you?
I had a brand new FJ1100 in 1984. Absolutely loved it. The sound, the power and just the way it looked. Amazing today but it was mind blowing back in the 80's. Only trouble was a defective shift fork - hard to get into 2nd and then it would pop out under hard acceleration. Nice to see it coming back to life.
It is a great bike, i can imagine how it must have felt back in the day in comparison, i get a bit fedup with it sometimes when ive been out, riding in traffic and just not being able to get on and then on the odd occasion i'm out late coming home and theres nothing on the road it just floats along and the power shows itself even more it puts a massive grin on my face😀
Great vid and build 👌 What handlebar risers and handlebars have you used and where you source them plz? What battery do you use and where is it mounted plz ? You can get 2 pack lacquer in rattle can format - this will protect against petrol spillage problems but is slightly trickier to use but will flat and polish really nice . Did you get your inspiration for this build from Dodge's 1100 ? Cheerz .
Thanks, ive always liked that tail piece, i had it kicking around in the garage for ages and it came from my old gsx400 4 i had a loooong time ago, so its just slightly different to the gs ones, but uses the same light unit i believe. I'm just about to do some more videos on this bike as it unfortunatly fell over in the garage and damaged my paint job😫. But it was never quite finished i just started enjoying riding it after quite a while of not being able to, so stayed tuned for more vids as i spend a bit more time and care on it as i plan to have it in a show next year😎
Hi Debbie, yes used the gsxr mounts, took the oil pan off to get the room to sneak it in there, easier to lay the motor on its side and put the frame on it than the other way around.
@@sub9sec hi and thanx for your reply - most tubers don't! Thanx for info - I'm plannin on puttin a B12 in my gsxr 750 wn with a turbo and also makin it look like the Guy Martin pikes peak bike ! I've heard that the bandit rear mount bolt is larger than the 750 - is this true ? Cheerz 👍
@@debbiewright2171 ah now thats interresting, the 750wn being the watercooled model?, if so i'm not to sure, Are you using a donor bandit complete or just looking for a motor? If a complete donor bike then makes it handy to have both bikes hardwhere on hand to swap and change parts. I will hopefully go for a turbo at some stage, the previous b12 motor i took out will be stripped down and built up as a low comp motor for it, well thats the plan anyway. Are you going to document your build in any way? I'd like to see that as it comes on
@@sub9sec hi , I'm going to buy a complete donor bike so I have complete motor , carbs ,loom , switchgears etc . I might document build but not much of a video expert ! The final build will have Harley xr seat unit with Honda vf750f rear light as it is angled the same as seat unit on back face plus it will have 2005 Yam R6 complete front end and Yam R6 rear arm and wheel too - the arm is beautiful and the wheels look very similar to marchesinis 👍
@@debbiewright2171 Oooo good to have a plan in your head and it sounds great! Defo would like to see it develop. Interresting on the cling film, i actualy didnt think it would be any different than the bag but now you say that i will have a play around with it as ive got to do it aaaaalll ovvvvver agaaaain😫😆
Yes it was great, just the way i like them, as always its a shame gopro doesnt pick up on the ups and downs so well so it looks like slow riding, which it is but for a reason, really enjoying these events
Good riding Adam - that looks great fun - I showed my Mrs the bollock hill bit - she said that`s pay back for laughing at his mate sliding down the hill on his arse!! 😂😂
Looks like great fun, awesome bit of countryside there. It's hard to tell from the camera, but I'm guessing some quite steep bits there. And by the looks both bikes fuel tap vac tubes were firmly attached!. Get to go through a building, Ooof stacked it there Bruv. . . . . . . the old er - front wheel got away from ya there . . .
Yeah its a shame the cameras dont pick up on the hills to good. Ha ha ya plonker, thats a very common off that is, front wheel tucks away, see you think these bikes have grip with those tyres and smoorh as glass with all that suspension, nothing like it,!😄
I just got a light bar and it's all part of the programming in the light bar 2 presses on channel 3 sets the color, a long press turns it off and a long press turns it on
Oh really?!! I'm sorry to hear that matey. Glad to see you back, i havent posted any RC stuff for a long while now, or much else for that matter, have been so busy its all taken a back seat but i'm looking forward to doing more in the future
