I’m one of lucky ones as well. Was in serious car accident in 2012, a week in induced coma came round had a trach in my throat so couldn’t talk, couldn’t walk as my balance had completely gone. Pretty much as soon as I came round I wanted to start physio and was told I would the following week. Thankfully the physio that I was due to have pushed to get me started the next day. He asked if I wanted to have first session that day well the answer was obvious. I was able to walk on a walking frame straight away so from then was happy to get about more. It was the physio who then worked on getting me walking normally again. I didn’t get chance to be impatient about that 🤣. Only took 3 to 4 weeks which I had expected it to be longer.
Do our doctors really know what theyre doing!?! Or NOT! 😢 geeeeeeeeze people! Iam on zometa infusions but you know what? I have this set up for 3 yrs once every six months. Should I even be trusting this mess? 😠😳 I have 3 more left. Hmmmmmmm maybe I might just stop. 🤨😡 like cancer side affects arent bad enough. Iam so DONE! Nuff a this mess. Oh, thanks for this video. ❤️😊💕💕💕💕💕 Iam just flusterated 😂 I have good doctors, theyre probably just as bewildered as the rest of us. ❤ oh well. What a deal. 🙈🙊😕
I'm so glad he was able to turn from a car into a person. Just his head didn't fully reform but I'm sure it's just a matter of time until his transformation is fully complete
This was very interesting. I like learning about technology being used in health care. Stroke rehabilitation has come a long way since I had a stroke in the late 1980s.
Plzz tell me ,after severe brain injury. Can a patent regain his past memory back or not . My brother met an accident, was intubated and having severe brain injury. Now he is physically 100%fine but he don't have past memory, he is having memory of before 15 years ....
Sorry to hear that man. Hope you’re doing well. My close friend is currently suffering this and he is heavily sedated at the moment for weeks. I hope he pulls through.
I was also one of the lucky ones. My accident that I suffered a TBI in happened 30 yrs ago. I went on to graduate high school that same year and became a Medícal Assistant. I am very thankful for the great Drs and Nurses!
My 31 Year old son was racing motorcycles and crashed rushed to AUB HOSPITAL in Alabama with TBI and fractured elbow no brain no activity for two days then a comma a week later he moved and hasn't stopped since 9 weeks later he's talking walking cutting grass and getting better every day truly a miracle
I recently hit my head in the shower and felt dizzy for a second. Went to the doctor but they said they didn't believe anything was wrong. I noticed after the injury I've felt small pressure in the back of my head is that a bad sign of something to come or am I overplaying it. I am fairly healthy 160lb 18yr old. Please reply if u have helpful info
I was in a car accident hit my back head when the car flipped When i got out of the car blood came from my nose and mouth Then a hematoma developed which is gone now but i feel something and it hurts when i press it
I am going through this currently, except for 10 years the Doctors in Boise Idaho ignored all of my symptoms! The Industrial Medical Military Complex Killed Me!
Watching videos like this remind me of how lucky I am. I survived a TBI from a home invasion 12 years ago. I was there for six hours. After surgery, I was only in ICU for 4 days. Remembered everything down to driving a manual. As selfish as it sounds, thank you for the reminder of my luck.
Thank you for sharing your story, this has gave me so much hope. I’ll always have faith in god that things will be back to normal soon for me and my husband. We we’re in a terrible car accident where another vehicle hit us head on.. in a matter of seconds I remember seeing my husband’s head hit the windshield.. seatbelt was not buckled (don’t forget your seatbelts), the air bag didn’t come out for him. He bled uncontrollably and was in a coma as soon as he arrived to the hospital and in critical condition. He was then diagnosed with TBI, I just want to show him that he’s not alone in this difficult situation and that I’m going to always be there to support him throughout his whole recovery process. With anyone suffering from a TBI Never give up on yourself and consider nothing impossible.
