*Fun Fact:* I have recently realized that Super Mario Galaxy's graphics look actually pretty phenomenal for a Wii game, especially considering a lot of other Wii games (even first-parties) had graphics that seemed much closer to GameCube than Xbox 360 & PS3, but then when I look back at Super Mario Galaxy 1 & 2, I just happened to realize that isn't always the case! :)
You are probably underage and playing the game for the first time. The remake track is a lazy orchestral arrangement that completely lacks the personality and uniqueness this one has. Making something orchestral doesn’t improve it (like in this case for example).
@@Matias-zh3dp bro holy fuck you are sucha fucking loser shut the hell up and get a life, the new music can be argued to be equally as good or better. Saying that “your music taste is worse” with him not understand the holy greatness of 8-bit video game music, calling him too underage to understand, is such a Reddit thing to do.
@@Matias-zh3dp Literally every version of the battle theme in the remake is better than this. Chapter 5 The Moon The Pit of 100 Trials, you name it. It's all better than this. This is way too repetitive for something that you hear for the entire game.
@@BowlOSoup6661 Like 90% of JRPGS which have only one battle theme? Dynamic battle themes are not always good, in this case, they are nothing more than generic orchestral tracks which do not give the game its own imprint unlike the original OST.
Can we talk about how this game ends with the destruction of the entire universe, only to respawn with only a few remembering what happened? (Mario and Rosalina)?
I am commenting #BringBackDislikes on every unique RU-vid video that I watch for the rest of 2024, regardless of if I actually dislike the video or not. This is video 2002.
Found it without even knowing it existed....was pretty hyped about it....while i do enjoy this version i think i'm only really tossing this badge on while i redo glitz pit and pit of 100 trials....gotta experience the different area themes
So come watch our show where there will be joys, excitement, tragedy, and lots and lots of laughs! The remake's OST loses out on the funk and the synths which I think takes so much character out of what made the original OST so iconic. The Superstar Saga remake has the exact same problem.
Yeah, I agree it doesn't make music automatically better, but I think it's better in this case. The instruments so much more bring out what the composition is trying to be. It sounds so tactical and urgent and bombastic and like 2 sides are coming together for an epic brawl, and I'm just having a good time listening to it.
I remember as kid when I heard this for the first time but in Mario And Sonic at the Olympic Winter Games. I fall in love with this Music❤❤❤ After I found the Original... I saw the Light of Nintendo ❤❤
This track almost brings me to tears every single time. It’s incredible how effective it is as a first level track with how it pushes you forward and motivates you with its grand feel and also how beautiful it is. It really lets you know from the very first level that this is a special game.
If I had it my way and was a rich person, I would grant Nintento 1 000 000$ with a note attached to the cheque saying, "We need more Thousand-Year Door. We need more games like this. Make them!"
currently re listening to all smg tracks and i never thought i would be one of those people that would actually wanna cry over nostalgia. Almost shed a tear but still holding strong😢.
The hook of melody sounds to me like its perfect fifth to root a couple of times, then fifth to fourth degree (sort of like a sus) then 3rd and fourth again. Then fifth to 3rd to root to 2nd. And finally it goes 4th, 3rd and 2nd then climbing an octave to repeat the melody or resolving by a seventh to root. In the key of C it would be this G C G G C G G F E F G E C D F E D B (B D C G C G G C G G F E F G E C D F E D B C) It was a handful to write, and I presume it will be a handful to read as well, but please correct me if I'm wrong.
