Excellent demonstration video! While it’s possible that initial glucose reading on start up was your actual reading, it’s also possible that the sensor needed calibration if it’s like the G6. With the G6, it is common for the first reading and even first a few hours of the center to display in accurate readings and of course, there are other factors that can produce a false high or false low with the Dexcom. From experience, I think it’s always best to do a blood glucose reading with a BGM when Dexcom gives you the first initial reading. Only saying this to offer some peace of mind! ❤
You are a natural teacher. I have had the Freestyle Libre for months, I also bought the reader. Your simple, step by step video has made it super clear and easy. Both in putting the sensor together as well as downloading and using the app on my phone. I will not be using the reader. Thank you so much for this video.
Please note. This reduces blood pressure by artificially widening the blood vessels to lower the numbers. Over time, the vessels lose elasticity and cannot pump blood back to the heart. A much safer way is to take zinc, which does the same thing without any side effects but will improve other conditions. I learned this the hard way. I was on it a dozen or so years and it nearly caused congestive heart failure by fluids building up in the system.
Very helpful, I am a huge chicken and watching your video was great. I just want to share that when taking injections now, if you are nervous like me you can ice the area ahead of time and get it a little numb first. This method helps me a lot. I don't do it now for the insulin, but I do use it for any of these auto injectors that fire quickly or some slowly. Thank you again!
Hi from the UK! I am just about to jump on the Libre method after more than 30 years of finger pricking, and I would like to thank you for a great video showing the ease in which you attach and connect everything together. My anxiety about it has completely disappeared due to your explanations. Thank you so much.😊
When the Grace period expires. Put on new one at 11hrs and 30 min mark . Leave old one on. Also. Then when 30 minute warmup expires , take off old one. Won’t have to wait for warm up to get readings
Thanks so much. I just received my FreeStyle Libre 3 and your video helped me understand how to use it. BTW, my pharmacist was the person who recommended it to me. She is a wonderful healthcare provider.
As a T1D it is hilarious watching people be nervous inserting Dex/ injections overall. We have been human pin cushions for long periods of our lives 😂 welcome to our 24/7 365 world
Thank you for this easy video!🙂 I'm wondering about a concern of mine- If it uses the NFC technology, would that in the long term cause health problems because the sensor plus the phone have magnetic fields surrounding them? I don't like to wear my phone all the time on me, how far away can a phone be for it to work? Wondering if anyone has any thoughts on these questions. Thank you so much 🙂
Thanks for this. My doctor gave me one to play with. I haven’t put it on yet because I was too nervous… Once I map about what I will be testing this will make it a lot easier. You took away a lot of anxiety thank you.🎉
Nicely presented, I'm setting up the Libre 2 now. Will use the monitor for 3 months or so, then move on to the Libre 3. Thanks for your clear instructions. You should teach calculus!!! Smile😊
The G7 has an overall MARD of 8.2%. (MARD (mean absolute relative difference) is a statistical measure of CGM accuracy, the lower the number the better.)
Here's your answer: Why can't the FreeStyle Libre 2 sensor be worn on the abdomen? The FreeStyle Libre 2 system is only approved for use on the back of the upper arm as this was used to collect data in our pivotal clinical studies. After sensor session ends, peel off patch like a bandage! To make it easier, try these tips: Loosen edge and soak patch in body oil, like baby oil and then peel it off.
